AWESOME!!
My speaker foam was dry rotted all the way around my 12in subs. Didn't want to spend the money on a new set cause these still sounded good. I'm glad I came across the repair kit. They sound even better now. Easy install and well worth it. Thank you very much.

Super easy!
I had a couple of old Sony speakers that had rotten foam, and i thought I'd try reforming instead of purchasing new ones. I used the intructional videos the manufacturer posted on YouTube, and now the speakers sound like new. I would recommend this.

Were not cut to fit - worked well but ended up being a big project
I appreciate the guys who sell these, and i was able to repair my speakers for a fraction of the cost of getting it done. That being said, it ended up not being very easy at all! Just a heads up - I had to trim the foam and there wasn't much of a lip to glue it to on my speaker cone.

Great!
It's not a simple process, and things get messy when removing the old foam from the speakers and cones, but if you like to take things apart and put them back together, it's pretty straightforward. My 20-year old speakers sound like new. Unless you have experience refoaming speakers, you probably don't want to do it yourself if you're very particular about how the final product looks. If you don't mind tiny imperfections (e.g. excess glue along the edge of the cone), the imperfections don't seem to affect sound quality, and I'm happy with how they turned out.

Rip off
I purchased this kit because the product description specifically listed my model of speakers (SSU591AV) as compatible. First of all, I will say that I was able to use them and haven't tried out my speakers yet but I'm sure they will be working like they did before the foam rotted out. This required significant work on my part to trim these to size. They are essentially a one-size-fits-all piece of foam! At $25 a pair (for my speakers you need two pair), the price is ridiculous for something that requires that amount of labor to make fit properly with the potential of screwing it up. Also, the "special glue" is rubber cement. My suggestion is to apply a thin coat to both sides that you want to connect, let it dry, then very carefully put it together exactly how you want it. It will be permanent instantly so make sure it's right the first time. I imagine these folks have some bedroom in their house that has 10 or so boxes of these things starting at 4 inches all the way up to 13 inches that cost them about $1 each. The hardest thing was to make all of these listings with the model numbers that were probably copy and pasted from another website. Each time a sucker like me makes a purchase they do a little happy dance. Okay, enough of my rant. I don't know if I would have done anything differently since these were no more expensive than any other repair kits out there and this was quite a bit cheaper than having it done for me or simply purchasing new speakers.

worth it to keep your original speakers
It is worth every penny. It is easy DIY project. My speakers give much more bass after fixing them with these new edges.
