Burner is decent but has a massive gas leak at the tank connection. Made of cheap plastic with the a tiny gasket that appears to be hard plastic instead which cause the leaks.Decided to keep since it would be too much a hassle to remove the burner to return the item. Ended up using my old regulator/hose. Probably would give this item a 4 or 5 stars if it weren't for the defective regulator/hose.

Needed to replace the 6" Banjo burner in my old Bayou Classic Patio Stove, and got this unit instead of another one from Bayou Classic. Was never really happy with the quality of the ones from Bayou Classic. Casting was rough, and I had to drill out a few of the burner holes for proper even flame output. Biggest annoyance is the gap in the burner where there were no holes at all. Not an issue when boiling a pot of water, but causes a cold spot when using a wok. And for using a wok, this burner head is a vast improvement. Not only does it have full flame coverage with no cold spot, the whirlwind design of the flame does a great job in heating the wok evenly. Even in the direct center of the wok.Aside from performance, the unit is must better in cast quality. No issues to correct, worked perfectly out of the box. And looks way better. Multiple mounting points made direct replacement an easy task even though it is longer than Bayou Classic version. The included propane hose is decent quality, and makes for a complete replacement kit.

The Venturi style air fuel mix is tough to regulate. I found that getting it right is a constant battle between the wind and fluctuations of the included regulator. You can leave the screw out on the air intake because you will be moving that thing a lot. It works, my outdoor wok gets hot but, it is a dirty burn much of the time which coats my wok in black carbon residue and smells as it burns.
