Cheap and awful
So, I was really looking forward to this book cause I was looking to up my drawing game.It was awful. The front draws you in with crisp pictures, but the back is completely void of any kind of blurb, and there’s some kind of weird plastic material that keeps peeling off the cover. For an intermediate guide, I was expecting diagrams showing in depth anatomy display skeletal and muscular structure amongst other things rather than basing drawings off blocky old art mannequins.I didn’t get that, I got writing. Lots, and lots of writing on subjects that were either common sense, or something that could easily be found through an internet search engine. The paper feels cheap, as if someone just whacked the book out off of a printer at home and glued it together. There are no colour pictures inside, it’s all greyscale. Even the section on colour pallets is just black and white, and it looks like it was screenshotted off the internet. Speaking of just ripping pictures off the internet, several of the images used looked like they were snatched off random individuals social media, such as Ketheryn Breun’s pencil sketches of Naruto Uzumaki from 11/08/09, found on page 40.All in all, it’s a waste of paper really, I resent paying for it, and I’m very grateful to Amazon for refunding me.
