No big deal, though, as I didn't want a magnet. I just wanted a stick (with a slightly sticky end) that I could use at work to pick up dropped papers and cards. And this does the trick. The disc is that same sticky material you'll find on certain lint rollers. I'm guessing it can be cleaned and rejuvenated by placing it under a warm stream of water, but there were no instructions (or anything) included in the package I received. It did come with a little plastic cover that fits over the round end, enabling you to stick it in your pocket until it's needed (without sticking to the inside of your pocket). ### ⭐ Telestik is useless *by K***N on April 2, 2013* You can not pick up a used tissue or paper with this even if item is completely dry.Telestik(TM) Reacher Adhesive Disk Telescopic Reacher System (Model AD3000) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Picker-upper but . . . *by D***M on February 7, 2022* I've bought at least four of these over the years. They do a great job of picking up things with their sticky pads, but there are two problems. First, unlike the photo, they no longer have a tether from the cover to the body of the stick. The pad cover can pop off fairly easily, and it can be a bear to find it. Of course, when it had the tether, it was easy to break it by telescoping the handle without removing the cover.The second problem is that you can pull too hard on the handle when extending it, and it will break. You can still use it, but you'll have to be careful when extending it that it doesn't come apart.That being said, I have purchased at least five of these reachers - they work well and are small enough to tuck into a small sleeve on my power chair.
