I recently purchased the Nicpro 3 PCS 1.3 mm Mechanical Pencils Set, and overall I think it's a good set of pencils. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to them, but once I did, I found them to be very comfortable to write with.The weight distribution of the pencils is great, and the grip is very comfortable.The 1.3mm lead size is perfect for my needs. It's tougher than a 0.9mm lead and can handle writing on course surfaces and unlike a 2mm pencil it doesn’t need to be sharpened I also find that the thickness of the lead allows for a more bold and clear line without being too thick.One downside is that the weight of the pencil may take some getting used to. I like to keep my pencil in my hat, but these pencils are a bit heavier and tend to fall out.Despite the barrel being a plastic resin it seems very durable and I believe that they will last a long time if not abused.Overall, for the price, I am satisfied with this set of pencils and I may even purchase another set to have in more locations. If you are in need of a good set of mechanical pencils with a thicker lead, I would definitely recommend giving these a try.

I bought the pencil primarily for preliminary drafts of poems as I am composing them. I've now been using it for my calendar, for sketching plans for a porch railing, marking lumber, and writing post-it notes.I love the heft and balance of the tool and the hexagon grip is just right and reminiscent of the yellow school pencils I grew up with. Also, the substantial eraser is an unexpected advantage and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find.I love the larger lead for all the things I use it for, however, it's a softer graphite and will smudge if you brush your hand over your writing. The extra leads and erasers that came with it in the kit are a plus. No worries about how or where to get those at least for now.Finally, this great quality for the price!

I’m a teacher and get soooo mad at the normally bought mechanical pencil leads breaking with the least little pressure!!! These pencils are very sturdy and the lead does not break easily. I liked it well enough that I bought some for my son.

This pencil set is my new favorite woodworking tool. The lead is thick and robust; it doesn't break easily like the 0.7mm lead in most automatic pencils - even over rough surfaces like MDF or plywood flooring. The color helps me keep track of it.As just a pencil it writes pretty well too.

This pencil set was for my husband, who's getting back to his original art skills after letting them slide in favor of exploring everything in digital photography. Since he's recently been looking at what I call "pencil porn" online, I suggested that he check out Amazon's selection, & he was not disappointed! He loves everything about this mechanical pencil set--he says it's a great value, with excellent quality pencils, lots of leads & erasers, plus the handy carrying case keeps it all stored safely. He's really enjoying revisiting his drawing talents, so I have a happy hubby who's busy in his office room while I get to watch whatever I want on our big TV!
