You CANNOT go wrong with any flavor of Fire Department Coffee and this dark roast is no exception. I want my coffee STRONG. But not bitter. Can be extremely hard to find. This dark roast delivered on all of this and tastes amazing to boot. You will not regret buying this brand. Not only because any flavor that I have tried so far has been amazing, but also because proceeds from each purchase goes towards helping sick and injured firefighters and veterans. It's a win-win.

I bought the whole bean espresso style coffee. I was at my son's house visiting and he did have a bean grinder. He only uses French press method.This was the first time drinking your coffee, first time using a French press. This was the best tasting coffee. It was not bitter...(I like strong coffee)...I will buy more for myself.My son just finished the fire academy...the coffee was part of his gift. I give a big shout out to all first responders active and retired. Be safe!!!

I'll be honest. I got this coffee for two reasons: 1) I'm searching for a coffee with a strong cherry flavor, and 2) I enjoy the "Fire Department Chronicles" shorts on the video platform that rhymes with "blue-cube."The coffee is good, no argument. An enjoyable, remarkably smooth cup. There is some bourbon flavor to it, but not much in the way of cherry flavor, though. Still, no complaints.And yes, it's wonderful that proceeds benefit first-responder/veteran charities.But at about twice the price of most of the coffees at my supermarket, I'd recommend this only as a gift or as a "special occasion" coffee. As good as it is, this is waaaay too expensive to be my daily go-to cup of Joe.You'd get off cheaper (and possibly do more good locally) by purchasing a sack from your local coffee shop, paying less, and then donating the money saved to a local fire/EMT/veteran charity.You're a good man, Jason, and I love ya dearly. But sadly, you're just too expensive a coffee date for us to be a steady thing. :(

I got the Firefighter Irish Whiskey coffee; doesn't look like too many people have reviewed it on here. Husband is a retired fire captain, so I felt that this is a brand we should try. Well, this stuff is DELICIOUS. Great aroma coming from my percolator (yes, I prefer perked); and this blend has a multi-layered flavor that I just haven't tasted in ANY other coffee - and I drink a lot of different coffees. This one's really in a class by itself, so somebody knew what they were making. Doesn't hurt that this coffee supports firefighters, either - THANK YOU.

Taste is great, it was perfectly sealed. The quality and freshness is perfect. Plus, it helps firefighters.

Rated as 2x star = The description says “espresso ground coffee” which is what I thought I was getting. The coffee is MEDIUM ground coffee and i was planning on using this in my espresso machine. Disappointing as it is non-returnable.-Update 9-8-24 changed to 3 star-Although could not use with espresso machine (due to being MEDIUM ground, used to make cold brew and has really good flavor and plenty of caffeine punch!

I like the taste, I love the kick. It is the only coffee bean to get me away from Community Club Coffee. And when you are from SE Texas that is saying something

Nice dark roast coffee, if you're a Tim Hortons dark roast fan then this coffee is fairly close in taste.
