Great pack for my car emergency walk-out kit
I like this pack. It will become part of my automotive emergency plan. I believe your car should include planning for at least 3 possibilities. 1) How to handle tire chains or a disabled vehicle. 2) How to stay in the car overnight if necessary (with as many other people as you may have on board). and 3) How to handle an emergency walk out. #1 and #2 will not be discussed here. This pack will nicely fulfill the purpose of getting all the loose stuff I have accrued in my car for my #3 handling an emergency walkout.I'm not talking about or end of the world stuff, but I am referring to handling horribly stopped traffic due to snow or road blockage due to wind-fallen trees. You can't drive over the cars in front of you so it is critical to use your best judgement. In some situations the weather is too dangerous to leave the vehicle but I’m in Western Washington, not North Dakota (or similar). There are times when you sure can't sit in the car waiting to be rescued because help cannot get to you. Western Washington snow is like that.Several years ago during a record breaking snow storm all roads were stopped and inaccessible. Abandoned vehicles were everywhere - so I left my truck in the parking lot and camped overnight in the warehouse I was remodeling. I was lucky; others chose to walk out from their vehicles that were stuck on freeways and the like, before they could find a safe place to be out of the weather. How many were prepared?I'm nearly always alone in my car or maybe two of us so this pack could pack full of things to allow us to get to help. Those of you with a car full of kids have a whole different responsibility that I won’t attempt to resolve here. For my purpose, the contents of the pack will most likely evolve slowly and constantly over time as something new is available or something not-so-new is discontinued. The following touch on the idea of what to pack and how to think in a walk out situation. USE YOUR OWN BEST JUDGEMENT.A pocket knife can turn plastic trash bags into raincoats, tarps, rain hats and probably a lot more. You need be prepared to stay warm, keep your feet dry and to see and be seen in the dark. I'm planning on including one of my first aid kits. It is probably a good idea to have one of those backup phone battery banks in an outside pocket so checking the charge monthly will be easy. Spare clothing, gloves, raincoat and boots are good however I keep those in a plastic “milk box” so they can be available for tire chain installation, etc and there wouldn’t be room in a pack anyway. You don't need a lot of food or water for a few hours, however having a minimal amount of water and also something rewarding might be a good anti-panic spirit builder. You can search "tropical hiking chocolate" online for several recommended varieties that won't melt in the back of your car. Beef jerky, or even a stick of gum may be enough and take up almost no space.Remember too that water in = water out so you need to have at least a plan for that. The last little bit of an end of a roll of TP may come in handy.Again, USE YOUR OWN BEST JUDGEMENT to be prepared. Once you set it up it is only a small effort to keep your pack maintained, updated and ready. Thank you

Great backpack, minor difficulty
This is a great backpack and feels well made overall. The material is thick and it doesn't feel like it will rip easily. There are so many different pockets you can easily get everything organized just where you want it to go. You can keep quick access items on the front flap pockets, and larger items inside in the multiple pockets and sections. The only issues I have ran into so far was upon arrival the backpack is folded, and it took a bit of effort to shape it properly. Overtime it has gotten better with the pack being full, but wish it wouldn't have been folded in half initially. The other issue is that the main zipper can catch easily on the fabric around it if it has any folding to it, causing it to be difficult to open/close. This also has gotten better as the fabric took shape, but beware if in a hurry not to snag the material in the zipper.

Great size with lots of pockets
When I first removed the wrapping, I thought the backpack was a ballistic vest because it has that design that includes a small handle at the top through an opening just like the shoulder straps of a ballistic vest. The backpack has several MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment) attachments on the front and the sides. The Velcro US flag is a nice touch with the black bag. The D-rings may help those who want to attach something to them. The backpack is exactly what I need to use as a personal item when I travel on the airlines. The size is perfect to carry my routine business items and some extras. My laptop is a 15.6 display that measures 14¼ inches in length, and it fits perfectly in this backpack. There are several pockets to store items separate from the main compartments. I write compartments in plural because there are three main ones (two for electronics which are padded and the main larger area). I took a picture of each pocket so you can see how many there are. There are several Velcro areas, some on the front and another area once you raise the front flap. The side that goes against your back is padded in three places with breathable material which is shown in the pictures on the website. There are no side pockets for a water bottle, but that can be carried in your hand unless you have one of the attachments that allow you to add a water bottle. There is one downside to the design. The ends of the straps are not sewn or “finished”, so expect them to easily come out of the buckles and fray if you don’t “heat” the ends to prevent the fraying. You may want to have the ends sewn with a flap to prevent the straps from coming out of the buckle. The chest strap is the only one that was finished by sewing the end after being folded to prevent it from sliding out of the buckle. The cost seems reasonable and basically in-line with other backpacks being offered. What I found though, a lot of backpacks are larger than some airlines like for you to use as a personal item, but this one shouldn’t cause that issue.

Good backpack so far
Bought this to replace a sling type tackle bag that was getting old.The material is kind of stiff but I think with use it will soften up. It has a ton of pockets and I was to fit two plano tackle boxes sized about 9x2x5, digital weight scale, pliers, fish grips, forceps, about 15 powerbait jars, two 330yard spools of mono, fillet knife and 3 packs of procure and a first aid kit. I still have room.I has a MOLLE system but I have not used or attached anything as yet. Also has some external velcro if you want attach some badges or patches or whatever. That said I am sure others will fund it useful.Straps are easy to adjust and the part of the backpack that touches your back is padded. Will update as time goes on, but so far seems well worth it.
