Until LifeProof makes cases for VZW LG phones, this will work.
I bought this for my LG G2, that is protected by an imitation Otterbox type of case made by Ballistic. This phone (like most other high dollar smartphones) are entirely too fragile to not be housed by a protective case. That doesn't change when you want to take it somewhere that it could get wet. It does not look like the SumacLife waterproof pouch that I purchased was designed to protect my phone from falls. To protect my phone from both falls and water, I needed a pretty big pouch. This fits the bill. I like that the back is also clear which allows for camera usage, while still inside the pouch. The touch screen of my G2 is still usable while inside the pouch, but as it spends time in the sun, and if my fingers are wet, its accuracy diminishes. I expected that. As it spends time outside in the sun, the case acts like a mini-greenhouse, which traps in heat. I imagine over enough time, it could cause the phone to overheat and turn off. This heat also causes the pouch material and the rubber of the Ballistic case material to want to stick together. After a few hours in the sun, it is considerably more difficult to remove the phone from the pouch than it was to insert it. This is a small price to pay for the convenience of having your smartphone accessible and safe in an environment that is typically hostile to smartphones.I use my case while kayak fishing. Instead of buying a dedicated waterproof point and shoot camera, this case allows me to keep my phone out in the hull of my kayak, and take pictures of fish without worrying about it getting water damaged. I like the tether cable too, just for piece of mind. It allows me to secure the phone to the boat. As a kayak fisherman, I've lost plenty of gear that wasn't strapped down, for some pretty stupid and insignificant reasons. Typically I keep it under my leg, and out of direct sunlight, which I think helps prevent overheating. I've used it like this for about 8hrs in 90+ degrees and it never overheated. While on the water that day, I tried to watch a youtube video to freshen up on my cast-net throwing skills. The combination of bright sun, glare from the water, and the gap the pouch sits off from the screen did not let me find a good viewing angle. I paddled to shore, removed it from the case, and could see it much better. Not being able to watch a video on a phone, while kayak fishing, isn't something worthy of griping over.I gave this item 4 stars because it works as advertised, and saved me the money I would've spent on a waterproof point and shoot camera. The day that I spent on the water with this, didn't result in any fish worthy of taking a picture of, so I can't comment on if and how much the case degrades the quality of photos. I didn't give it 5 stars, because it's not perfect. For me, perfect would be the LifeProof LifeJacket case designed to fit the (Verizon) LG G2.

Great Case, device overheats
This case is well made, soft rubber and easy to use for these type of cases. I'm sure they are all like this because they are sealed. There is no UV protection from heat from the Sun entering the case and heating up the phone inside. My first trip in my Kayak heated the phone to the point where it shut itself down due to overheating in 65 degree weather. I left it off for 45 minutes in the case and put it in the shade inside my kayak. By the time I got to shore, it was still hot to the touch. It is as advertised but it has to be kept away from the light of the Sun or your device will overheat. This includes indirect sunlight.

It is quite good, phones are very well sealed
We tried this with Samsung Galaxy S2 and S4. It is quite good, phones are very well sealed, no leaks, easy to use etc. But there is one problem. We have tried this in sea, it was a very bright day. With the scuba glasses, you can't see anything in the screen because of bright daylight. I know this is not product's fault but you should consider this before buying this product. Especially S2's brightness is not enough and you can't see what you are shooting. One other problem is S2's touchscreen does not work underwater. S4 works but not very well. We have installed Camera ICS app to be able to use the volume+ button as shutter.

GOOD WATER PROOF CASE
This is a good waterproof case, and works well. I like that you can still use the phone inside the case. I have a rubbery cover, though, and it is a challenge getting it in the case. If I took my cover off, it would slide right in. Downside: The attachments at the top of the bag keep coming loose. Thank goodness the parts have (so far) fallen into the bag so I have been able to find them and put it back together. I think I might try some superglue or something to keep them together so I don't lose them. Works great, though!

The case was bigger than I thought. I bought ...
The case was bigger than I thought. I bought it for my Samsung Galaxy S5 assuming it would come in that size. The case managed to fit my sister Galaxy Note 2, and more at once. It was way to big. But I did use the case under water and it did protect my phone from water. A bit doofy looking, but it did the job.

It's OK, Be Gentle or It'll Break
Tried this a while back when kayaking. It works, but you must be careful because it could break, like mine did.

Fast Deliver
I got the item very fast. I did the water test and the tissue was dry. I'll give it a shot at a later time with an old phone and i'll come back to provide more feedback.

Works as described
Couldn't be anymore happy with this product. My note 3 fits perfectly with my otter box case.I was a little afraid but after reading some other reviews I decided to give a try, but not without first testing the case with a tissue as many others have done. No water got in the case at all. You should always try this regardless, you will never know if you get a defective one.
