A Gift Inside Pears to Compare Deluxe Fruit Gift

Very nice pears, individually wrapped. I order them every month.

I gifted these to my daughter and her fiancé as a healthy and interesting surprise. It was nice to have this variety of pears so that, once and for all, one can experience the contrast of these types. She let them sit in a beautiful fruit bowl for a while to ripen, and they were sweet and delicious when they enjoyed them.

I bought these pears twice. After about two days the fruit softens so it is actually better than when it first arrives but several of the pears had rotten spots in them. We cut the bad parts away and the rest was ok. We both wear partial dentures and so it is difficult to bite into hard fruit. But as I said wait about 2 days and it softens up and then the fruit is juicy. It isn't as pretty as the photo shows so don't expect beautiful perfectly colored and ripe looking fruit. It has a better taste than the grocery store but still not the taste of the pears we remember.

My friend has received this box before and she enjoyed her pears. Not this time. She told me, “not to send her anymore”. They were hard still and rotting spots. This years crops are not so good. I have ordered 9 times…so i guess no more this season. Sorry but not worth it this season.

My wife bought me a box of these and they were tremendous. I then bought them as gifts for four people. The warning was when my niece said they needed to ripen. I bought me another box and they are very Krogerish. They don't really ripen much either. Hard and not juicy. Waste of money. People getting these as gifts have to wonder what you are thinking.
