I bought this for my young child, reluctantly. I had vowed not to buy another bento again after spending several hundred dollars on every sort of lunch packing gadget from cheap to expensive. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM LOST AT SCHOOL. So I simply stopped packing lunches and ordered school lunches. If my child complained about school food or asked me to pack lunch, I would sadly shake my head and say I wish I could, but you have lost all 45 bentos...But then my child wanted me to pack lunch for summer day camps he was not excited about, I felt sorry for him, so I relented.I wanted a leak proof, cute (but without character themes), cold/hot retention bento for UNDER $40. I love this because it fits all the criteria PLUS it's bigger than any I've owned, PLUS you can use only one or two of the pieces so it's versatile, PLUS the container is metal so you don't retain stale food smells. The lock and unlock mechanism is easy to use as well--others would either pop off entirely or you had to pry it with a butter knife at times because of the vacuum seal. The cover/carrier couldn't be cuter, the denim with red straps. The only advantage should you pay more for a bento is the longer heat/cold retention, which is an investment worth making for the $50-60 bentos if you work a 24 hour shift or other special circumstance.The only thing I can't attest to is how it stands up to repeated use, or if it's absolutely leak proof with something like hot soup (but I figure the bag will help keep it upright as much as possible)--because as much as I love this bento I prefer not to home-pack lunch so I have only used it a few times.

I loved the style and convince of this for taking hot lunches in situations where I would not be able to reheat my food. Most reviews discussed difficulty with opening and that the insulation worked best with the lunch bag. The first time I used it, I put piping hot food in each container and put it in the "insulated" lunch bag. After 4 hours everything was room temperature, I did not check the food before then. The second day, I did the same thing but also wrapped paper towels around the containers as an attempt to add insulation and then put in the "insulated" bag. I took the food out after an hour and a half and it was already luke warn! These really are NOT insulated containers. Cute, but don't expect them to keep your food at the temp you want.

We where happy with the purchase.Until yesterday after storing some popcorn with lime juice the container got all stained.Now I am worried that is not STAINLESS steel as advertised.I will like to hear back from their customer service department.

I bought this item for back to school for my middle school aged child. This thing is awesome. Super convenient. My daughter washes it herself and uses it for both hot and cold lunches. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a cool lunch box option for middle school aged kids and above. My high schooler asked me to buy one for him after my daughter got hers, so we did. Pro Tip - Make them wash them themselves (you're welcome).

I looked around quite a bit to see what types of bento boxes I could buy, as I needed something that would last for a while with minimal hassle. This bento box caught my eye, and I am glad it did. I ordered it, and have had no issues at all using it for my lunches that I bring to work. I loaded up all of the compartments, and had chicken with salsa on the bottom, as well as yogurt in the second to the top container. No leaks that I could see, and everything was a nice temperature when I finally sat down to eat. I have not used the silverware included with the bento, opting for chopsticks instead. The carrying case works just fine as well. Hopefully it will stay this way for a long time!

I just ordered another one after I was so impressed with the first. I work 12 hr shifts, and I can put lunch and dinner in the 3 tier one. Since I always work 2 days in a row, I wanted another one so I can have all my food at work for both days pre-made. Very practical and doesn't take up too much room in the fridge. Very stylish too. AND, so much less $$$ and faster shipping than the same ones advertised on Facebook and Instagram. It's a winner all around for me.

I use this for work. I love all the compartments. I really like the size it’s easy to portion. I don’t like that I can’t microwave it because of the metal interior. It keeps it hot for a while but it’s 6 hours before I have my lunch and it’s room temp by then. And milk products spoil pretty fast in it. I was sad that day. No lunch. It is honestly fantastic other than that. I still give it 5 stars. The largest part holds 1cup cooked rice and 1/2 a chicken breast cut up and the medium part hold almost a whole apple cut up. The small parts hold nuts or grapes pretty good.

This is so convenient. I love the design. I do all cold items in the box. Pack breakfast in the upper sections and lunch in the lower. A chopped salad in the bottom portion fills your whole plate. The only thing that went wrong with this is the strap on the bag ripped off the first week. I really did not need it as it has the long over the shoulder strap. Great buy!

On the whole this product is convenient. We have only used the one a handful of times but they are great for my older two children. Well, the one is.The other one arrived done up so tightly that we can’t even get it undone. It’s useless to us. We have tried everything to get it to come undone, and only 2 of the compartments opened.
