It's a nice looking back scratcher as well as being sturdy. I like that it's made of wood, not bamboo. That gives it a nice weight and firmness, although it's not heavy in the least. The best part that it scratches beautifully. The sturdiness lets you really get the itch taken care of without worrying the scratcher will break. It's worth every penny! I'm getting more for family as gifts.

UPDATE: I had originally written the review below and posted it, having tossed my broken back scratcher. I didn't contact the manufacturer or request a refund. A few days later, they reached out to me on their own, having seen my review, and apologized for the issue and issued a full refund, explaining I could consider it either a refund or a free replacement if I wanted to order a second one. I opted to order a second one, because that's great customer service, and I'm changing my review to 5 stars.Original review below:Decently shaped and smooth, good scratching. In my opinion after receiving & us.ng this back-scratcher: Its design makes it easier to reach most areas of your back vs. straight-line shorter versions. The wood seems to be good quality. The teeth or scratching surfaces are [larger, rectangular & flat] rather than [smaller, triangular & pointed], which is good in one sense to avoid injury but bad in that it .requires more force to achieve sufficient scratching of itches. My guess is that if this wood were cut into (a reater number of scratching points with smaller surface area per point) then the tips might break -- unlike stronger metal models. The scratching ability is a bit less on this back scratcher vs. other metallic models due to duller & fewer wood teeth -- but it does reach nearly all areas of one's back much better. Good, but not great.

Simple design, basic functionality, enormous satisfaction. Very nice looking solid wood with a dark shiny finish. I use mine exclusively for my back because I’m flexible enough to reach any other itch on my body. This back scratcher has brought me far more relief from itching than the relatively low price paid … and you get two of them!

I liked the idea that it looked more like a work of art --and the raving reviews convinced -me to buy it. I think the head of the scrather part should be wider. it's designed to cover only about a 1.5 inch surface, which, if I'd thought a bit more about it before purchasing it, I would have passed.

Perfect length, curve, & angle to reach whole back. Very, very sturdy, not an expert on wood but it looks like Mahogany!Could only be better if there was a way to maybe attach a copper scrubber to it!Best Back Scratcher of the 7 I've tried! :)

There is NOTHING I dislike about this product, it is so well-made and perfect to reach your back everywhere! I highly recommend it! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF WOOD IS LIKE A CARVED PIECE OF ART.
