Very handy brush for painting fine details
I bought this little spotter round paint brush to paint fine details in some of my illustrations. The size 3/0 that I often use just isn't able to get quite fine enough details when I'm working on smaller illustrations, but this one fits the bill nicely! The tip of this brush is springy and responsive, although due to its small size, it holds little paint and has to be refilled often. The only reason I docked one star is price. I think the value could be better for a brush that won't hold up too long due to the tiny size of the tip. That said, I am now using this a lot for fine details and I expect to use it until the very last hair remains! I would most likely buy this brush again.I have attached a watercolor and gouache illustration I recently painted for The 100 Day Project. The fine lines in the petals and thin white highlight along the top edge of the lipstick tube were painted using this brush. I have used it with watercolor, ink and thinned gouache without any issues. I would not recommend using this with acrylic paints, as even with meticulous cleaning, acrylic residue could easily build up in the tiny tip, quickly rendering this brush unusable.

Disappointing
The media could not be loaded. As a person who takes really good care of her brushes, I was disappointed to discover that my brush handle is splitting. Typically this happens if brushes are left in a water jar for a prolonged period of time. I do not leave my brushes sitting in water for more than a few seconds. I swish watercolor pigment out of them and then leave them to dry on a flat surface. At the end of the day, I clean them with gentle soap and water and then leave them to dry, so I am really bummed out that a brush I've only had a couple months is splitting. I still have brushes from the 1990's that are not splitting.

Fantastic for eyeliner
I am not a painter of anything but faces but I was tired of spending tons of money on brushes by makeup brands and still never quite finding the fineness I was looking for. This is the ideal of an eyeliner brush. The bristles are short and stiff enough to apply it as though you were sketching color on, but just bendy enough to angle it ever so slightly. And the tip is so fine you can draw realistic looking individual hairs/lashes with it. All that at a sensible price. Love it!

Ordered for a Birgit O’Connor Class
This brush is great for specific applications. I used it to put soft dots on a rhododendron. I think it would be great to use for orchids with spots too.It is useful for the fine details when painting a shape. I use it to eliminate any small white gaps when I am painting a shape next to another one.I highly recommend taking a Birgit O’Connor online class. She will tell you exactly how to use this brush!

Very soft
This is a beautiful brush but isn’t what I like. It’s very soft and hard to control. I’m new at watercolor so that may be why. The fullness of the brush is not what I anticipated a #4 to be. I have several Davinci brushes and I love them. But disappointed in this one.

Excellent micro brush.
I ordered the Round, Size:10/0This is by far my most favorite brush. I've been using it for 4 months and the bristles are still in good shape. This brand was recommended to me by a professional artist. I can only comment on this size, I have no idea how well the larger ones hold up. I will purchase this brand again!

Good brush when new, but hard to clean
I have a hard time finding these narrow slanting brushes which I use for painting my wood carvings. I wish the brush was a little longer because it is difficult to keep paint from getting in the ferrule. And then it is difficult to wash it out of the ferrule while not injuring the integrity of the brush itself. So I find this brush doesn't hold up very well after using it a few times.

Received wrong size
The product seems to be very good and da Vinci is an amazing brand that never disappoints me. I knocked off two stars because I had ordered a size 00 or 2/0, but I received a 5/0. The label appears as "Size 00" as you can see in the photo, so I totally understand why the person in charge of preparing the package made a mistake. This photo shows the unopened package. The label seals the bag. I won't return it, but I recommend the seller to be more careful with labeling their products. I've ordered another size 00 from a reputable store, and I recommend you to do the same.

Useless for fine detailed work.
Thought I could use this for some fine detailed work in hard to reach places painting miniatures. The hairs were split with one sticking out that I had to cut off. The point doesn’t come to a fine point. Hairs are different lengths and uneven making it impossible to make a fine line and control the paint. Pretty much useless for my purposes.

Good quality but slow shipping
Good brush, but took forever to ship, almost 2 months. It’s an add on item but I received probably 7-8 orders in the meantime with no paintbrush.
