Rheem MR50245 Marathon Tall Electric Water Heater, 50-Gallon

If your looking for a tank that wont rust this is the water heater for you however I just received the 50 gallon tank was easy to install then the work began No Hot water? So I'm thinking its a brand new water heater it cant be that so I ran all new wiring to the hot water heater still no Hot Water. Step two pulled the element out sure enough its broke where am I going to get an 1.5 element its Friday I cant go all weekend without hot water I finally find one it can be delivered Sunday put it in No Hot Water Step Three change the thermostat. Moral of the story is its a piece of junk and don't bother wasting your time and $1600 on it just so you can work on it you would be better off buying a cheap water heater and throw it out when its time to replace it! you could do that 4 times for what I just payed for this junk.

Great electric hot water heater for those on well water and want to get rid of the smell from anode rod chemical reaction in most steel tanks. No Anode rod needed with this fiberglass tank. Lightweight and completely insulated. Works great so far.

Like these & knew we would be spending more than a standard hot water heater...but did not want to worry about failure & leaks ever again!

After putting a Marathon in my previous home, I opted to put on in my new home as well. In my opinion, the best water heaters money can buy.

This is the second time I purchased this water heater. I put one in my previous residence and never had to worry about it failing or leaking. Holds heat for a long time if power goes out. Lifetime warranty says it all!

I own two houses and both have this 50 gallon unit installed in both of them. The first one is 6 years old and I've had no problems with it. I just bout the second one for my other home. The tank is fiberglass, so it will never rust or leak. The unit heats up quickly, so when I arrive at my vacation home, I turn it on and I have hot water in less than 40 minutes. There is no pilot light to worry about, and is as energy efficient as they come. This is by far the best hot water heater I ever owned.

Our cottage was plagued by very stinky hot water, almost as if an animal had died in the tank, while the cold water was odorless. Turns out that the sacrificial anodes in steel hot water heaters produce hydrogen sulfide (H2S), one of the foulest smelling molecules known to man. This problem only happens where the water source is a well or lake. The all-plastic Rheem Marathon 50-gallon tank was the solution. Delivery was prompt even to this remote location, installation was easy, and the odor is 100% gone. My only complaint would be customer support, where front-end agents who know nothing take your questions to technicians who do know something, and the messages are mangled in both directions. Let customers speak directly with technicians who know what they are talking about.

Simply the best water heater you can buy. Unfortunately, it's never in stock. Wish I could get the 85 gallon model.

Electrical Elements (both) lasted less than one year.

Seems to be working very well, I have 2 of them now. Easy to install and came delivered quickly. I had one professionally installed and installed the other one myself.
