This flashlight is pure fun
You know how there's all those scary movies and video games where someone is holding a flashlight towards a direction where they know something is just out of reach of the flashlight? If those people had this flashlight instead, they'd not only be able to see anything that is within a mile of them, but they'd blind the bad guy before the chase even begins and have extra time to escape. The Acebeam Terminator M1 is AWESOME. I got into flashlights for a while, and I kept feeling the want to buy new flashlights, until I bought this one. This thing does everything you'd want it to do extremely well. The normal flashlight side is REALLY bright and has pretty good throw itself. But the fun part is switching between the lights when you want to see something farther off in the distance. NOTHING is going to hide from you when you're taking your weekly midnight stroll through your nearby wooded park area. While I usually keep the spotlight side fully focused so I can see as far as possible, it's actually much more practical if you defocus it a bit so it makes more of a focused cone of light. Even defocused like this, will be more than enough for a trip through the pitch black haunted forest near you, even if you don't ever switch to the secondary flood light.I'd also like to underline that this flashlight is so much fun to use. It's actually mind blowing how capable of a flashlight it is in such a small form factor, and it's fun to play around with it as a result. The only negative I have to say about this light is it is simply not small enough to keep in my pocket all the time (there is a smaller pocket version available, just not as powerful).

Most useful light you can buy
Just wow, where do I begin? Let's start with the design - just looking at it you know it means business and stands out among the competition for exquisite EDC lights of this size. It's rugged, built like a tank, looks like something from the future - worthy of it's title without doubt.Functionally it is highly adaptable thanks to the vast range of brightness levels that can be selected on the LED and in combination with the adjustable LEP (that is a seemingly endless novelty) it is useful in just about any situation - from map reading to scanning long distances and all between. In regards to the zooming capability on the LEP, it's also worth mentioning that it maintains a homogenous and evenly lit circle of light when fully zoomed out without any colour separation.Battery life is also excellent, plenty of energy in that 21700 cell which is a commodity for a light this small. To summarise with brevity this may be the ultimate choice for enthusiasts thanks to it's versatility without compromise.

High CRI flood LED and incredible zoomable LEP for lighting up very-far-away objects.
I have collected maybe 50 LED and LEP lights in the past 10 years.I have settled on only buying high CRI lights (such as 519a LED lights), but recently also purchased my first LEP light (a high-end model). The M1 provides both light types, and does a great job. It's a little heavier than I expected, and slightly clumsy to use the mode, on/off, and zoom controls, but it's one of my very top lights. If you need a LEP, you can buy similar sized lights, but the M1 is brighter, and the zoom is really clever and useful. And it's much easier to deal with one body, than to have two grinding against each other in your pocket. If you can afford this pricey light, you won't be disappointed.
