Great Chinese folktale with engaging illustrations.
This is a great Chinese folktale with engaging illustrations. It is the story of a very rich but spoiled and selfish boy. He does not want a poor boy to even sit under his tree. The poor boy then offers to buy the shade of the tree. The rich boy is also greedy so he agrees, with unforeseen consequences. Quite a good tale. We have never read a story by Demi before but we enjoyed this so much I plan to check out some of her older work.
