Sturdy, Versatile and Simple To Use
Best ever n I own 3 others. This is more sturdy n versatile on attachments used to make photos. There were a few rough edges on a couple sides of plastic that were easily filed off. Highly recommend and will use now in place of the other 3.

It broke the very moment I tried inserting my phone.
I had just received it not too long ago. The packaging box was rather large, as it contained two of my items I had ordered. Outer package was rickety, but the inner that contained the tripod was just fine. It came in a cute little carrier pouch and I was hype. I have been waiting all week for this, and I was ready to start shooting for my premium Snapchat shows. My boyfriend and I took it out and set it up. The first thing I noticed is that the mount (or head; the little piece you screw in to hold your phone on the tripod) looked a little rickety. The metal bar seemed a bit crooked, and this was only accentuated when I pulled the little rubber piece to extend the opening of the grip. We first tried my boyfriend's phone; a bit small and lightweight, no case. It fit, with a bit of pushing. We turned it all angles to ensure it was safe to use on my phone (which is the one we use to film). Once we set up upstairs again, my boyfriend pulled up on the grip and SNAP! The metal of the grip just popped off, and a spring came out of the bottom left side of the mount. My phone is a OnePlus 3T, and I have a pretty decently lightweight case on it. He only stretched it out just enough to where it would be wide enough. And it just fell apart. I am really angry that this fell apart the DAY I GOT IT.I either want a replacement grip/mount, or I am sending back for a full refund. I will leave a higher rating if I receive a grip that is sturdy. The seller can decide which would be more professional and profitable. I'd like someone getting back to me on this by the end of the week or else I will be taking my money back.---Update: The seller did in fact get back to me promptly; no questions asked saying they shipped a replacement. That is something I appreciated. The mount came just yesterday, and I was a bit anxious (excited and nervous really) to see what was going down. Firstly, it was mailed in a very thin bubble mailer. So thin in fact, that the multi-cornered mount was actually capable of poking a finger sized hole (doesn't look like it, I know; but I wiggled my little finger around in there so I would know) right on through the mailer. I winced, but continued the opening process. I was a bit stunned that the mount I received was noticeably different in design (apart from it looking much newer and shinier). The former that I had received with the tripod was very basic looking: matte, crooked, used to all heckie deckie and just rickety. This one that I received yesterday? Quite the opposite, visually. It was a noticeably different design; sleek, shiny, sturdy, notches up the black plastic back panels, and the metal bar that goes over the side of your phone as a grip was NOT CROOKED like the one I initially received. My boyfriend and I decided to do a test pull on the mount. Results:- Firm: A very slow and gradual pull is necessary. Do not expect to be able to yank it up. It has this "I've never had anything inside of me; please be gentle.." sort of feel to it. Have patience.- Stern: You can only make it go so far without it snapping at your phone like a hungry gator. Depending on how wide the device is, this thing will have MAD grip. We first inserted his little phone (LG Treasure; 5.65" long x 2.85" wide) as a sort of "exercise" for the mount and napped for a couple hours to let it sit in there to see if it made a difference before we inserted my OnePlus 3T (the phone that broke the first mount immediately). With this phone it was already a pretty snug fit, mind you. And after we took it out, the mount was still virgin tight. I pulled up the grip (to about as high as it can go without feeling shaky) after taking his phone out and held up my phone in front of the opening. It was much too small. So, I took the case off (which makes the phone's width just a half centimeter wider in total from end to end) and struggled to insert the OP3T (6.01" long x 2.94" wide without my case on) and it reluctantly snapped in. It was a struggle to put it into place fully because of how tight the grip is. The OnePlus 3T definitely exceeds its expansion limits, and balances in there crookedly (since keeping the phone in the middle of the mount would leave a constant hold on either the power button or volume down button). Finally, this new mount feels a bit more secure, but also really tight to the point where I worry some if it'll spit my phone out. I don't like how it sort of snapped at the back of my phone when I took it out. It left a small scuff. I will keep using this product to film and see how well it does from here. More updates to come!

Tentative recommendation, lightness may be a selling point but has it's downfalls
I purchased eCostConnection 50" Inch Aluminum Camera Tripod (roll credits) to experiment with iPhone photography. And really was excited when it arrived all the way to unpacking and setting it up. Then, I could see the future…and it was ominous! The short answer:In spite of being excited upon receipt/ opening this tripod, it is a bit of a disappointment. While I can’t review what hasn’t happened yet, it is a fairly flimsy product. While I like a lot of the design, I just wish the thing felt sturdier. Overall I liked it and give it a tentative buy.The longer review:Things I liked:The packaging was very good, making me excited to see how good this works! I thought I had found a hidden gem!It comes with a nice little bag to carry it in, and set up was easy. The legs lock fairly tightly, but easily, so it shouldn’t just collapse. There is a ‘stabilizer triad’ (my own word) in the center to keep the legs equidistant from each other; experience tells me this is an important design option. The head has 3 axis of rotation, kind of standard on a tripod, but you know…There is a bubble level for one axis, which is nice! The smart phone mount (read ‘clamp) is better than other but still just OK.The set-screw, while it had a good head on it for turning, believe it or not this is something to comment on, others don’t!You get a microfiber cloth woo-hoo!The price is fair, given the kit you are getting.Things I did not like:They use how light this is as a selling point…pretty smart marketing. But I don’t think it is a plus. I will not be trying it in winds much more than a gentle breeze, as it is so light and the stance so narrow I believe it will be blown over.I have to say it. This thing feels a bit flimsy. I know it will hold up a cell phone, and don’t believe any camera would crush it, but anything much heavier than said phone will make it top heavy. That is concerning!I really don’t like the ‘clamp’ cell phone holders. Although comparing others, this seems to be a good one, to use them you have to hold down the tripod while pulling up on the ‘clamp’ and placing the camera, (how many hands do they think I have?) there has to be a better way!Things I hated:There was nothing I ‘hated’ about this product, and even the ‘did not like’ things more than likely apply to similarly priced 50’’ tripods!Restating my conclusion:In spite of being excited upon receipt/opening this tripod, it is a bit of a disappointment. While I can’t review what hasn’t happened yet, it is a fairly flimsy product. While I like a lot of the design, I just wish the thing felt sturdier. Overall I liked it and give it a tentative buy.Note:I find myself buying way too many Amazon products attempting to find things that meet my needs. So I am shooting to become a 'vine' member. Please, if you like my review if you find it helpful let Amazon know by clicking ‘yes’ at the bottom. If not, let me know how I can improve!

Great tripod stand and for a great price!
Overall I am very satisfied with this stand for my cell phone. I have the Galaxy S10 and it fits and works for this tripod. I was a little confused with the directions for the top part of the tripod, for where the cell phone goes but was able to figure it out and set it up fairly quickly. I have already used this tripod a ton and it gets the job done. It was very affordable, easy to put together and works for my cell phone. This stand is also very lightweight so it is easy to transport and carry. I have being bringing it all around my yard and have taken some photos outside and I haven't had any issues with it. I am only giving it a 4 instead of a 5 because I wish it was taller, but that is more my fault when ordering and I didn't understand the measurements. It is 50 inches and I am around 5'3 and it is shorter than me. This stand is perfect for sitting and getting pictures from a distance. To get a headshot when standing up I need to hold the stand higher than me, but with how lightweight it is, there is no issue. You can also move around and see what angles work best or adjust the top of the tripod to angle the phone higher or lower so it really is functional. There are different options to adjust the height of the tripod as well. I was concerned the top part of the tripod would not hold my phone securely but my phone actually fits perfectly and is secured. No issues with that. I really recommend this tripod. It is a great price and has been really useful! It is fun to use. I love taking my tripod out and taking photos!

Good value for money
Won’t hold phone up? Keeps falling down - I’ve tightened the bolts and I just can’t get it to hold my phone any more. Can’t remember the sellers email so if anyone could tell me that would be great x

Good but not perfect
I managed to break a teeny tiny piece by excessively tightening the attachment but the bit didn't fall off and it still functioned well. The tripod extends to a great height and it packs away neatly. It is lightweight and easy to carry, especially in the bag it comes in. The package included a letter from the seller with his contact info so you could reach him if you need help or have concerns about the product. I did not try to reach him so I cannot comment on that service. The Bluetooth connection is easy to set up and it is reliable. I used Samsung S7 in a Defender Otterbox and it fix without any fear of snapping or falling. My only complaint is that the frame at the top would not let me use my phone vertically (upright). It seems the phone was too heavy, regardless of how much I tightened the screws. The phone would flop to a slant whenever I tried to use it upright so I'm only able to use it on a side. Otherwise, I may have to find a way to prop it into place but that's too much effort.

Save your money for something that is better!
Product was received used by someone else amd then clearly returned. It was scratched up quite a bit, even the logo was partially scratched off and wasn't sturdy and very wobbly. Contacted the seller only to be told it's just cosmetically defective and still works and wouldn't send out a new one. Sorry but when I purchase a NEW item i want it be BRAND NEW not defective. Terrible customer service.

Multiple Characteristics! Great Price! Low Quality!
I'm fairly satisfied with this purchase as it had every single one of the characteristics I wanted in a tripod at a very reasonable price. My only concern is the overall quality and long-term resiliency of this product. I doubt it will take much wear and tear (especially the legs & leg locks) when it comes to basic use, even with careful handling and care. This is my 1st tripod but I'll definitely look for a better one in the future.(NOTE: The 1st one I received had a camera base on top that was completely crooked, the legs were all scratched up and the leg locks were rather loose. The company was initially a bit problematic about the return so I just went through Amazon instead and was able to return it for a replacement with no problem. The replacement is fine but, as I said, I doubt it will take much wear and tear over a long-term basis.)

The best starter tripod you can get at an incredible price!
This is the second tripod I have bought. I originally bought it for my little brothers Youtube channel and was amazed at the quality for the price. I got one now for my channel as well and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone just starting up.The tripod comes with a carrying case and is very good quality at it's price tag. Much better than I originally anticipated. It is easy to use. It also comes with a great and secure smartphone mount. The only slight complain I have is that the camera mount could be slightly sturdier. I feel scared sometimes that my camera may tilt backwards and fall over. It hasn't happened yet but I wish the mount felt a little more secure and robust.Other than that, I have no reservations in recommending this product. If you are starting off with video or learning how to take incredible stabilized photos and videos, this is a great option for you. The accompanying smartphone mount is also great for mobile video makers!
