Just what I wanted! I was looking for a sturdy feeling small ruler to keep in my backpack that also had really good accuracy. I used it for sketching some shapes and it was just what I was looking for!

You'll need to file, trim the end to zero out. Numbers are lazerd and paint is probably heat treated, but if you scratch the baked paint you will loose the numbers too. Id say you'd have to brutalized this tool to scratchit though. Very legible lines. The price is good for two of this quality. Good purchase.

Doesn't start at zero. Can't measure anything from the end of a solid object, this product is useless unless you can accurately file down the edge.

The coloring makes it easy to read.

The zero mark is not the end of the ruler, it is a couple millimeters in from the end. I had to grind the end off so that the end of the ruler is zero. I cannot fathom why the manufacturer would not set the end of the ruler at zero. Other than that the ruler is fine.

I bought these to use in working on my guitars and I love the contrast of the black ruler and how easy it is to quickly read the measurements when measuring height or other characteristics where you may not have a clear contrast as a backdrop. Silver rulers with thin black hash marks are nowhere near as easy to use for this application. A+
