I just started using a brush and soap for my shaving needs and I LOVE this set. The ceramic bowl is quality, the brush is holding up well, and the soap is ok. Not much of a scent and lathers up well. I strongly suggest this set if you are new to this method of shaving. I also suggest a how to instructional video on YouTube. It helps and gave me some great tips .

I love this shave bowl. Allows me to heat it up in the microwave or add hot water to create a fantastic shave. Very happy with this product and miss it when traveling.

I really prefer to shave this way than to use shaving cream or gel. The soap provides a nice lather that lubricates well without drying out my face. The brush's dye will bleed, so when you clean it you need to stand it on end and let it dry. I always start with a warm towel, lather up, shave, and then apply a cool towel. It's my version of a spa day for men. It also helps to have water in the sink to clean out the razor. It works better for me than running water and probably save a penny or two. Cup is good quality and easy to hold. Brush is holding up well. The soap that comes with it provides a good thick lather. And a bonus is I recall childhood memories of my dad every time I shave.

The brush is way better then I was expecting. I like to use shave soap when I shave, and this is a nice quality set, that is priced great. Thanks again Amazon!!

Unfortunately , I broke the bowl. But because I liked the bowl so much, I got another one. This is a great set. The brush will discolor and turn your sink black when you rinse it, but it works well.

I really liked this set for a couple months until the brush was found to be cheaply made. The plug of hair in a wax base eventually fell out of the handle because it was secured with hot glue. I was disappointed that it was designed this way. Hot glue and hot water don't work well. Whoever designed this did a poor job. People usually use hot water to shave and clean the brush. Hot glue becomes soft when it gets hot. Of course this thing would fall apart eventually.
