I am very happy with this purchase. I spent a good amount of time looking for a raised tray system and this one turned out to be perfect for me. My need for this stand was not to mount a monitor so the tray mount attachment was essential. I’m not holding up a laptop, but rather a small audio mixer (Zoom L-8) but it has very similar dimensions as a laptop and came in under the max weight recommendation for the product. It works perfectly and I am extremely happy with how the stand functions. It is fairly heavy duty. All the parts are strong steel and I felt confident really torqueing hard on the bolts with the provided Allen wrenches. It was easy to set up and get dialed in.My only concern is that I didn't have enough of a lip for the clamp to grab on to as the description recommends having 2.9” and my desk only had 2.375". But instead of the clamp being totally flush against the desk, I was able to pull it back a little, enough so that the tightening arm could still rotate all the way around , and I was able to go hard on the clamp and get it very solid.The thing that could be better are the plastic clips that keep cables bundled. They are a thin plastic that have a little wiggle to them when you snap them on. A medium-strong tug and I could see them getting pulled off. A harder plastic like you would see for a backpack buckle would give you a firmer hold on to the stand. But I don't foresee the cable clips being a problem and everything else about this stand is really good.

I could tell as soon as I got it out of the package that it was very heavy duty. I worried that it was going to be complicated to put together, but it was much more straightforward than I thought and the directions were pretty clear (I bought it for use with a laptop). My only complaint is that the hexwrench they included is too long to swing freely while using it so you have to keep lifting it out, repositioning it, and then swinging it again each time when tightening the hexbolts, which is a bit time consuming. This was the first step so I was a bit worried that the whole process was going to take forever, but actually there was hardly anything left to do after that. I purchased this product after reading other reviews and seeing the company respond to the few complaints that there were. It gave me confidence in the product. I will update my review later if I run into any problems after I've used it for awhile, but it seems very well made.

I use this as a small Wwacom tablet holder. The center is open and allows for easy hand movement for a medium sized Wacom Intuos Pro.I set this to swing above my keyboard by a few inches. Far easier to draw with it now that I can swing it around as needed.The bottom is open but there are large metal wings on each side that stick up to hold devices in place. Those 'might' get in your way depending on what device you use.However placing a thin book under it will bring it up higher to match the device to the wing size. I believe the tabs are higher incase you use a laptop cooling pad while tilting it forward.

This is a solid product - very sturdy and easy to install. Two items make it 4 vs 5 stars for me: (1) the outer extension arm is roughly half the length of the inner - this should be adjusted to provide greater reach (ie same length sections); (2) should include rubber pads on the two 'lips' that support the front edge of a laptop placed on the stand, which would help keep it from slipping when in use. If these don't matter to you, consider it a 5-star product.NOTE: one install recommendation, when attaching pole to base, hold the base with one screw inserted... align a hole on bottom of pole and rotate the POLE onto the screw... I found this much simpler than trying the typical approach of getting the screw to go thread through the base and into the pole. Once aligned, easier to get the other two screws aligned to thread thru.

I love this mount! I alternate between my work and personal laptops, with work laptop being the heaviest at 7 pounds.Note, Combined with my USB input switcher and HDMI switcher it's a great combination for my setup. The joints are very secure and stable. It's really easy to move around when I alternate with standing and sitting. I haven't noticed any drooping or slipping. I actually had to loosen the bolt a little, for the joint connected to the laptop tray, as it was too tight, probably because this arm is actually built for a VESA mountable monitor, but has the laptop tray attachment.

I had to downsize my pc table but needed a place for other things like my mixer, a lapto, or my drawing tablet. This held anything I put on it. I did make sure the items were within the limitations of this mount.I noticed that the main tube is actually smaller in diameter than my other mounts so just bear that in mind if you plan on swapping parts with other mounts.

Used this to raise up my laptop to eye level to assist with eye and neck strain when on the computer. The bolt to attach it to the desk you turn by hand and is easy to adjust as needed. Leaves space on my desk for other items and the clips to hold the cords out of the way work well

Was a little hesitant, but I''m really glad I decided to get this. This is perfect for my setup I code on my laptop @ work and code on my desktop at home and sometimes I work on both at the same time. This was extremely helpful and convenient. Much better than having my laptop taking up space on my desk. Plus I can work on my home computer while watch videos pertaining to what I'm working on from my laptop.
