Pool Ruler Skimmer Basket for Hayward SPX1070E & StaRite B9

Basket fits in skimmer perfectly and stays weighted down in the water. Not super heavy duty material but definitely good enough especially for the money. The little plastic handle broke off after a couple weeks but it mostly just got in the way anyways so probably better without it

Does a good job filtering and price was right. Seem very well made, time will tell.The only complaint was the fit into my skimmer was a bit snug and makes removal of the basket a little more difficult.Overall a good deal though

The handle seems a little week to me. But I haven’t had any issues with it. Great product for the money for sure!

While the size was correct for this item, it seems to be cheaply made. The weight of the basket was too light. I had to add a rock to the bottom of the basket so that it would not float to the top of the skimmer. Also, the handle was not centered. This makes it difficult to remove the basket without debris falling back into the skimmer. I will not purpose this item again.

Nice replacement fit, plastic appears sturdy enough (as long as I don't intentionally bang it around), but even with the provided weight it floats up in my saltwater pool. I added a small chunk of brick to keep it on the bottom when pump is off, otherwise it can float up, become off-center and not get pulled back down correctly the next time the pump comes on, allowing debris to bypass the skimmer. Overall decent value for the price, but recommend the manufacture makes the weight a bit heftier, or use plastic that is not buoyant in saltwater.

Fit in the place the old one was with no issues. Price was good, would have liked the "handle" to have been more centrally located as being in the 1/3 area will cause it to wear out and break earlier.. Extra material cost to be in the middle would out weight it breaking early. Happier customer.

I've only been using it for about 2 weeks now but so far so good. I bought this one because it is sturdy, fairly priced, has a handle, fits nicely in the skimmer, and has a one year guarantee. I've used cheaper baskets before, but here in Arizona, the climate is brutal and unforgiving to pretty much anything outside so chose something that would last a while. I would purchase again.

Works great, but the weight detached from the basket almost immediately. The attachment of the weight to the basket was a just a small plastic nub that easily broke off when dumping the basket. (Tap the basket upside down to remove debris, and the weight broke right off)
