Slappa SL-SB-104-04 18 Inch Messenger Bag Black Laptop Bag – Laptop Bags (18 Inch Messenger, Black)

The bag itself is really well made with great zips, loads of pockets, metal clips on the strap, but the bag comes with a removeable faux leather front flap. I find it hard to understand how this has made it to production, unless I was unlucky and have a massively inferior/defected front flap. The pictures I've added show how after just a couple of weeks of use, commuting into London, all the leather has started peeling. And this hasn't just happened on the outer exposed corners, but all around where the handle is, and this area obviously does get any wear other the my hand rubbing against it very slightly. I've returned it after only a couple of weeks because I can only imagine how bad it would look after 6 months of use. To give this some perspective, I've a very careful person and really looks after my things, so this shouldn't have happened. One last point, the Slappa website states that you can remove the front flap and swap it out for different ones, hence the fact that it's attached with a zip, but no where on their website, or anywhere on the internet are these mystery extra front flaps available.
