Broke rt away 2 mins outta the box stopped steering but they exchanged it no problem this one has been great so far alltho it doesn't do 40 mph it's false it 40kph so not what I thought I was buying gave to my kid great company disappointed in car

I'd consider this little rc monster truck a step above toy grade with some metal drivetrain parts along with a metal upper chassis brace and front and rear metal swing arm retainers its good beginner rc. It's brushed along with a shared esc reciever with a 3 wire servo. It can be upgraded to brushless if you want more speed and performance. The included lithium ion battery could be upgraded to lipo and you'll find that will help a bit with performance. If you're just looking to do a little backyard bashing it's great! At a price point of about 60 bucks it's hard to complain about anything. For another 30 or maybe 40 bucks you can get the brushless version with oil filled shocks and most come with two lipo batt. Top speed this brushed version isn't bad at about 17+/- mph depending on the batt type you use. It does come with the two batt, USB charger, tools, and spare parts, along with extra body pins.I'd consider this a great foundation to sink your teeth into and get familiar with the hobby and when you're ready to upgrade the parts/upgrades are available here on amazon.

Bought this for grandson birthday. Has good power and looks great. Remote is not solidly built as the trigger/speed control broke on the first day. My son was able to replace a pin with a more solid piece as local r/c hobby store didn’t have the part and replacement of the remote would be very difficult to match the frequency.

This is a fun, and very fast RC car. I'm old school and haven't had one of these for a number of years, back when they had just a fraction of the speed this has. The car seems pretty indestructible regarding terrain and bounding around. I like that it has a second battery and the charger has a light on it to show when the battery is fully charged.I don't like two things about it, but they are relatively minor. One is that you have to take off the body to turn the car on and off. I wish there was a button you could press on the bottom. The second is the clips that keep the body attached. They are small and I have a tough time getting them back on using just my fingers. They can be a tight fit. I'm assuming the clips loosen up a bit with use, though.The signal from the remote covers a large area so it is great for using outdoors. You have the speed and remote range to really get it going on the open ground.
