The Coast Connect Trail is a 304-mile backpacking journey that connects Santa Barbara, CA - a paradise town on the Pacific Ocean - to Kernville, a small mountain town known locally as the gateway to the Sierra Nevada. This trail is Part 1 of 4 in The Hot Springs Trail series - a trail which extends north all the way to Canada and visits 100 wild or resort hot spring areas. In search of hot springs, the CCT follows a scenic corridor of wilderness and National Forest areas. Arriving to Kernville, the northern terminus is met, at Gateway Bridge. Here, hikers arrive to the start of The High Sierra Hot Springs Trail, Part 2 in The Hot Springs Trail series. This official guidebook provides you with a full set of detailed and updated maps plus complete logistics for the trail, including: - Safety Concerns - First-hand Advice & Tips - Hot & Cold Spring Water Sources - Official Options & Detours - Resupply Options & Supplies - Websites For Planning The Coast Connect Trail is Part 1 of 4 in The Hot Springs Trail Official Guidebook series.
