works as expected. good quality. I use this often at work to reheat my coffee and heat up water to make tea. it is very important for all these types of heaters to remember to always have it in liquid BEFORE plugging it in and unplug BEFORE removing from the liquid.

I found that I could get very warm water, not very hot water, to use to make coffee. I plan to experiment with various types of coffee mugs to see if using thinner-walled mugs works better. Perhaps the thicker-walled mugs absorb much of the heat?

This water heater immersion device has worked fine by now. But poor workmanship and finish. Not worth the price of ten bucks.
