I have thought about changing the radio head unit in my van for a while now but the cost and complexity of doing this are pretty high. After looking at these auto connect car play units and reading the reviews from other people I decided to give one a try. I was not disappointed. The unit is great. Connects easily and automatically to my phone each time I enter the van (after initial setup). The screen is responsive with very little lag and the music sounds great too after I connected it via the Aux cable. It’s brought the inside of my van up to date. Very impressed.

OK, here goes for a longer than usual review.The Aphqua (a.k.a. “Newest” and “Carpuride”) is made in China and the exact same device is sold under different brand names. I guess that’s why the marketing dept’s of these sellers have produced rubbish instructions and even, as in my case, provided incorrect customer support! Hopefully they’ll improve these sometime soon, including publishing in multiple languages.The good news is this is a terrific gadget. Now I understand it I can absolutely recommend it. You will, however, need to know the following:1. It does not incorporate a radio tuner, so does not work as a radio. However you can install an internet radio app on your phone. I loaded two; “Radioplayer” and “BBC Sounds”. These are CarPlay enabled so will appear on your Aphqua screen next time you switch on. PRO: You get hundreds of stations to choose from. CON: It's going to cost you if you exceed your data streaming allowance.2. Watch your data streaming costs across the board. Music, radio, maps, etc can all stream data over 4G, so if your cellphone bill suddenly gets expensive this might just be the cause.3. If you’re looking at the Music app screen, you’re given options, “Library”, “Playlist” or “Radio”. Don’t touch the Radio button, it will give you a silly message about being offline and has nothing to do with any radio player apps you’ve installed. Those will take care of their connections automatically.4. Don’t worry about your iPhone showing Wi-Fi “Not connected”. It is still using Wi-Fi to talk to the Aphqua and is best left unaltered.5. I did try FM re-transmit to send audio to my car radio but the fidelity was very poor. Maybe you’ll have more luck. Bluetooth or the Aux lead do, however, both work well with good fidelity. If you use Bluetooth, make sure Aphqua and your car radio don’t simultaneously try to handle phone calls; that might rule out the Bluetooth option.6. I asked customer support to email me a new start-up logo of my own design. They obliged promptly and it worked first time. Just remember to delete the boot_logo.jpg file from the TF card after it’s been accepted onto the Aphqua, otherwise you’ll be waiting for it to re-upload every time you switch on.7. It isn't a SatNav. It navigates using whichever maps app you have on your phone (probably Google Maps).8. Do note that the forward facing dash-cam is in a slot and can be pushed up approx 3cm above the top of the Aphqua. It also swivels so you can still get a good view of the road ahead even if you mount the Aphqua off-centre.

Firstly there is every type of mounting option you may need. There is a supplied power cable but if you car already has a use power socket you may be able just to use this. With these addon screens one of the most important items is connectivity and this comes with 4 different options: 1) 3.5mm aux, use the built in FM transmitter, BT audio (link to existing bluetooth input on OEM stereo, or just use the speak in the screen itself (not fantastic but would do for navigation).Setup is super easy and both carplay and android auto just works. THe touch screen is responsive and I do not get any delays or problems when using the audio.The camera is a nice touch and can be set to constantly record to the sd card, the quality although not the same as if you spent 100s on a dedicated system is surprisingly good and so it the rear camera.

The system looks beautiful, good camera quality, but I can't get music or radio working. It's just another way of wasting money and time. The phone gets too wot, the phone battery goes very quick. I regret I wish I would have not bought this item.

Good quality screen which is responsive. Easy to set up and you can connect to car speakers via blue tooth which other brands don’t offer. Dash cam good quality picture. Two options to fit your screen to dash, the suction cup mount is the better option. The only negative is the fixing to attach screen to mounting is a bit fiddily a magnetic fixing would be an improvement.

Does what it says ans quite useful but china so it's not got everything you'd expect

Installation was pretty simple once I found a flat spot on the dash it wouldn’t fall from, the screen quality is good and so is the responsiveness - no lag when swiping. At first it didn’t connect to the car bluetooth system, but after emailing the service team they sent over a file to update it and now I’m really happy with it.Sound quality on the device itself is a bit iffy but you can tweak it on aux, or use the cars bluetooth like I do and it doesn’t block the windscreen in anyway either.

I purchased the Aphqua device after reading positive reviews on Amazon. I used Apple CarPlay in a rental vehicle and looked at the options to fit a unit. However, The cost of retrofitting a device is expensive and my 2010 Honda didn’t really warrant the expense. The Aphqua device has proved to be an excellent option and easy to set up. CarPlay works well giving access to to all my phone apps including Google maps, Spotify and hands free phone. It might be a good idea to have the ability to register the device so that Aphqua can notify owners of firmware updates etc. This is a highly recommended product.It plays my music library from a micro SD card and a flash drive. Just give it a few moments to read large libraries. Sound quality is good through the built in speakers but superb via the Aux port. Very impressed.

Très satisfait de cet appareil, qui vient palier le manque d'écran et fonction carplay de ma vieille voiture.Carplay fonctionne parfaitement (avec ou sans fil), le tel se connecte automatiquement dès que la voiture démarre.Ecran 7" satisfaisant, couleurs un peu fades, mais bon c'est pas de l'oled ;-)Le son est moyen, mais en passant par le bluetooth de la voiture, le tel envoie le son dans les hauts parleurs de la voiture, donc c'est parfait comme ça.Le support est super réactif, et après 10 mois d'utilisation ils m'ont envoyé une mise à jour sur simple demande, les menus ont un peu changé et l'ergonomie est meilleure avec cette nouvelle version, c'est cool.

La confezione è davvero molto completa e troviamo oltre all'apparecchio principale due tipi di staffe: una da incollare sul cruscotto con apposito biadesivo fornito e l'altra con ventosa da attaccare sul vetro frontale dell'automobile. In dotazione c'è anche una telecamera posteriore utilissima per le manovre e per la sicurezza. Ci sono anche gli immancabili cavi di collegamento all'accendisigari, il cavo AUX per il collegamento fisico allo stereo ed una comodissima scheda micro sd da 64GB.✅Lo schermo ha una definizione veramente eccellente, è un 7 pollici sviluppato in orizzontale con ben 4K di risoluzione che permettono un ottima visione anche di video. Lo schermo è Touch e la sensibilità è buona con i comandi che comunque rispondono abbastanza velocemente a patto di avere le dita pulite e premere sul punto giusto. Frontalmente è dotato di una telecamera che permette di filmare i video in diverse modalità, come ad esempio una registrazione continua oppure a tempo con i video che si sovrascrivono continuamente in tempi variabili tra 1, 3 e 5 minuti. La galleria è consultabile direttamente dal disposito e permette quindi di rivedere quando si vuole i video girati ed eventualmente cancellarli oppure bloccarli in modo che rimangano sul dispositivo fino a nostro comando diverso.✅A livello di connessione il dispositivo non manca di nulla: Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Android Cast, Video Wifi. Praticamente si connette a qualsiasi dispositivo che sia iOS o Android e permette di condividere lo schermo in maniera completa. Essendo dotato di casse e microfono permette anche di rispondere in vivavoce alle chiamate; l'audio si sente bene ma se vogliamo avere un risultato ancora maggiore basta collegarlo all'impianto stereo dell'automobile.✅Per il funzionamento l'autoradio necessità di corrente da 5V che potete prendere da un qualsiasi alimentatore per cellulari ma nel caso specifico basta inserire il cavo in dotazione all'accendisigari ed il gioco è fatto. L'ingresso è un classico USB-C. La camera posteriore è dotato di un filo molto lungo quindi riuscirete con semplicità a raggiungere la parte posteriore ed agganciare la telecamera dove meglio volete, tenendo ovviamente presente che se messa al centro ha un senso anche durante le manovre, di lato direi proprio di no.🌐Il prodotto mi è piaciuto davvero tanto. Ha tutte le modalità di connessione possibile, si può agganciare in diversi modi e cosa più importante funziona davvero molto bene. Ho avuto modo di provarlo sia con Android Auto che con le varie connessioni Bluetooth e non ho mai avuto problemi. I video registrati dalla telecamera frontale sono di ottima qualità ed è inutile dire che lo schermo a 4K si fa notare parecchio per la limpidezza dei dettagli. E' un dispositivo ottimo per chi non ha un autoradio di questo tipo e vuole evitare di cambiare frontalini e slitte; questa si aggancia e si toglie quando si vuole. L'unica accortezza da avere è riuscire a sistemare bene i cavi, (alimentazione,aux,telecamera posteriore) in modo che non diano fastidio e non siano brutti da vedere. Molto bello e utile.
