I bought this on a whim, and it ended up being a very worthy investment! For the past couple of years I've always had to carry a portable battery-powered USB charger to charge my phone on the go; the problem was it would get bumped around in my tank bag and inevitably turn itself off or come unplugged. I found this hard wired SAE to USB charger port specifically designed for the motorcycle crowd and saw the answer to my problem. Wiring was easy with a standard SAE harness with fuse - only took about 5 minutes to install. I got a little lazy and rigged it to the side of my tank for the time being, but it works perfectly! Charges my phone as quickly (if not faster) than my apple USB charger at home - and I don't have to bring my hefty portable battery pack along anymore, saving me the already limited space on my bike. For the $15 price point, I couldn't be more satisfied. The unit itself feels pretty sturdy and of high quality, no play in the connector and the rubberized port cover fits snugly to keep dirt and water spray out. I'm a happy camper!

I use this and 2 other parts to charge my phone on my Harley. This works awesome. It is the only one that I know of that has an on/off switch. Which is essential for charging your phone but not killing your motorcycles battery. Unless you forget to turn it off manually when you park it. I just leave it off unless I’m using it and haven’t had a dead battery yet. Another plus to this specific one is that it has a cover for the USB plug...perfect for those unexpected rain storms that happen from time to time.

Owned this product for about a year and love how fast it charges my phone. The quick charge feature is perfect for heavy power consumption and the regular usb is great for headset charging. Unfortunately it failed after a year but lightning faster customer service sent a replacement in 3 days after confirmation that it was defective.I’m very happy with the product and customer support.

This is the perfect 'SAE to USB' adapter solution for any motorcycle rider, myself included. Fits right into the SAE charging wire. It’s easy to install and remove, can quickly disconnect, and has a flap for the USB socket so it can sit outside on your bike. Also has an on/off switch so the bike’s battery doesn’t drain. Navigation is the number one thing I use my phone for when I’m riding and with no way to keep my iPhone charged, I always had a dead phone when I was out with my bike. Now I can take my bike instead of my car when in need of a navigation.

When you come into the issue of needing to charge phone on your motor bike, this works perfectly. Using gps on my phone drains by battery quickly so it’s helpful to have this on your bike so it’s fully charged by ththe time you get to the destination. I like that info not have to unplug it because it has an on/off button. If you phone is fully charged you can simply switch the charger off so your phone do any over heat. Incan appreciate the USB rubber flap because it prevents water damage from rain. Because of this I lost previous chargers due to rain damage. As long as you switch it off and keep the usb waterproof cap covered you don’t need to worry if it rains.

SAE to USB adapter is one of the best and convenient to use. Works well and is compact for any motorcycle. I was in need for a charger as I use my phone for GPS and it drains my phone really fast. This was a very easy install with no tools required. I also love the on/off switch as I can use to prevent draining my bike battery if I don't need it. Another thing is the cap that completely seals the port. This helps prevent water damage during rainy weather. It is a very convenient SAE to USB adapter and is very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the product.

I had an issue with mine with one port not charging. I contacted the seller and they honored the warranty. They ask for a couple of pictures. So i sent photos that showed it powering a device using one of the USB ports and how it did not power when using the other USB port. They are sending me a replacement with no hassle. Love the product and the customer service.

Second update 1/1/19... Ive been contacted twice now by text from someone claiming to be the seller asking me to remove my review in exchange for $30. Notified Amazon.UPDATED REVIEW: 10/22/18. Going from 5 stars to 1. As happened with some of the other buyers, this unit died quickly. In my case, 3 weeks past the return date, and about 50 days (and 4 or 5 uses) from purchase. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Both ports are dead.Original review:I havent used this USB adapter very long, but so far so good! I have it installed on my motorcycle for keeping my phone/GPS charged while riding. One of the other reviews noticed a potential issue with the on-off switch. The switch on mine is fine, no issue. An on-off switch is important when using a USB adapter on a bike as there will still be a small but noticable power draw against the battery, even when the motorcycle is off. This unit does NOT come with a power cord. You will need one. My motorcycle battery has an attachment for a battery tender. The cord I used fits right into that, the other end into the adapter, same style of plug on both ends.This is a great unit for when you need USB power. I recommend it. I will update if anything changes.
