Another cushion purchase from Ergo21
The following is an e-mail I sent to the owner of the Ergo21, Steve Gambhir, on 08/05/16. This is my second cushion purchase from Ergo21.Steve:Thanks for reaching out to me. I don't know if you remember me from just over a year ago. I had ordered the original cushion (1.5" front to back) as well as the 2.0" Sport version. The Sport version was a bit to bulky and sat me too high in my car. Plus it was uncomfortable under my thighs because of the thickness. You and I spoke by phone and then I returned the Sport version to you.As you might recall, I had lost 100 pounds and, after buying a new car in November of 2014, I began experiencing severe buttock pain. I bought and returned more than a dozen seat cushions and, since I couldn't find one that relieved the pain while driving, I just gave the car to my wife. She ended up keeping the car but, whenever I drive it, I use your original seat cushion. For the most part, it does a good job of relieving the pain though not always. It really depends on how I am sitting in the seat. Since it is not my normal car, I have to adjust the seat until I can find the right position for the cushion.Fast forward to now. The old clunker that I am driving is finally on its last legs. I was hoping to find a new car with a seat good enough that I would not need a cushion at all. I have looked at over 15 cars but no such luck. But now I am going to have to pick something whether it has a good seat or not since I cannot walk everywhere I go. Plus I drive over 80 miles round trip to work every day (2 hours round trip). In the last few weeks I have found out what my problem actually is. It seems I have a problem with my Ischial Tuberosity. You probably know what that is but I only learned recently that they are the two "sit" bones on your pelvis. This is where the hamstring and other muscles are attached. Apparently, there is a bursa in between the bone and the attached muscles. The pain is created when that bursa becomes inflamed and pressure is applied directly to it from sitting on something hard. The pain can also be created from the hamstring being torn just below the bursa site. It really is quite painful, burning at the site and throughout the buttock region. It has been hurting much more lately as well because I have been test driving all of these cars without using the cushion, hoping to find a seat I could use without the cushion. To make matters worse, we are going on vacation in a couple of weeks. I live about 25-30 miles north of Baltimore and we are driving down to Myrtle Beach, SC. The trip is over 500 miles and will take us about 10 hours. So I will certainly take my original cushion with me. But, because I have never traveled that long or far using the original cushion, I wanted to get your latest version to see if that makes a difference. Plus I will try it as I continue looking for a new car. Now that I know I will not be able to find a car with a comfortable seat, I will try both of your products as I continue my search.Since the original cushion was 1.5" front to back, I notice that your newest version has increased by a half inch in the back and decreased by a half an inch in the front. I assume the thinking was to provide more cushioning in the back and less pressure under the thighs in the front since it slopes down under the thighs. Hopefully, the newest version will be even better than the original one. I am keeping my fingers crossed. In addition, if it turns out that the original 1.5" works better for me, I was wondering if you have any of those still available. It is always helpful to have more than one so you don't have to carry it in and out of the house and, of course, having an extra one is always good in case your main one becomes damaged or lost.So on this order we'll go with the newest version (2" down to 1"). If this works for me I'll probably get one more of the newest version and, if available, I'll probably get one more of the original 1.5" version, too. I should know what works one way or the other when we get back from vacation. In the meantime, thanks so much for your help and for taking an interest in your customers. I can tell from the reviews that your customers are surprised but pleased that you do all you can to help them out. Your sincerity is also evident in the video I saw of you and that woman who was interviewing you. And, incidentally, I have it shipped to my office because there is no sales tax in Delaware and there is always someone here during the day. Whereas, when things are shipped to my home, packages are left unattended outside all day. I'll be looking for this sometime next week. Again, thanks for your help and I certainly hope you have a nice weekend. And as I said before when we first spoke, I am so glad you were able to come to the United States and realize the American dream. With all of the hate and fear mongering throughout the country, we really are good people and this is an excellent place to live. Talk to you later.

I now have three Ergo21 Cushions
The Ergo21 Travel which Inuse it on my sofa to watch TV. My butt doesn’t get numb any more! When I get up my cat Victor who has severe arthritis jumps on it and sits comfortably.I use the 2 inch thick Original in my car delivering groceries for hours and the 3 inch Original on my dining/computer chair that does not have good cushioning.Bottom line, sit on it for a few minutes and remove it and feel the difference. I cannot live without it! Highly recommended!

Nice size and weight but does not breath which makes it extremely hot and uncomfortable. I returned it.
I spend a lot of time sitting both at my home office and in the car. I don't have any particular condition but wanted to improve my comfort in general.I was having trouble deciding between all the highly rated and reviewed cushions so since I needed several I decided to purchase two different cushions at a time:- This Ergo21 Liquicell ($77) ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M07WNSI/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0 )- CONFORMAX Airmax Gel Car/Truck Seat Cushion (L18AMAU, 18 Long x 20 Front Width/14 Rear Width) ($88.50) ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HVHN2G4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)- TravelMate Seat Cushion (Extra Large, 19x17x3) ($23.95) ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CVYOAUY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )- Coccyx Seat Cushion By CushionCare ($50) ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I9753UI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )- Aylio Coccyx Seat Cushion for Comfort and Lower Back Pain Relief ( $40) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AE9V3WQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)Unfortunately, I have been disappointed by all of the cushions and have had to return several of them -- the only ones I have kept are the CONFORMAX and the TravelMate. I will post more detailed review when I get time, but in summary:- This Ergo21 is a nice size and weight. However, it DOES NOT BREATH AT ALL which makes it extremely hot and uncomfortable. I returned it.- The Conformax is perhaps the most comfortable. It is the most breathable of all the cushions and a nice firmness. It is a good size and perfectly shaped for a car with a non-slip underside. Get the regular sized (smaller option) unless you are sure you really need the larger on). It is noticeably heavy (7 pounds) so it's not for carrying around -- plan on leaving it wherever you are using it. It is also the most expensive. I am keeping it, but I'm not sure it is actually more comfortable than cheaper standard foam cushions. I'll report on long-term use and value when I post that review after I've had more time to use it.- The TravelMate is a great price and a nice firm memory foam. It is a nice weight and has a convenient handle. It is only moderately breathable but better than the Ergo21. It's size and shape are ok for a desk chair and its light weight and handle might make it useful for taking to sit on a hard bench at a sports event (although it is a little large). However, it did NOT work at all in my car because it was incorrectly sized and shaped for a car seat, very slippery underneath, and very thick. I have kept it because of the size and modest cost but I'm still not sure it is better than a more standard foam cushion for my purposes.- The two Coccyx cushions (by CushionCare and Aylio) are really specialty cushions and did not meet my purposes. Perhaps if I had a spinal problem or had to sit in a wheel chair (which fortunately I don't) I would have appreciated them more and the cutout would have been more useful. For my purposes they were far too thick and bulky so I returned them both without actually using them. I therefore won't be able to rate them. (They are both memory foam so I imagine they will be similar to the Travel mate in being firm but not very breathable.)However, one caution -- both of these cushions charge significant "reshipping" fees. The Aylio was particularly expensive -- over $11 on $40 -- and that charge was even though I never took it out of the plastic and reported it as defective due to visible imperfections in the cloth. Fortunately, Amazon Customer Service over-rode the charge. The CushionCare had a more reasonable $6 dollar reshipping charge which, since it had not been defective I willingly paid. For the Ergo21 Liquicell I am rating here:The Good: Perfect size in all dimensions (about 1.5 inches deep) and very convenient to carry around. The Mixed: The Cushion did provide a nice padding, but it was not anywhere close to being as effective as it's description and the other reviews I read implied. I personally didn't find it to any more comfortable than a standard foam cushion you can get for $15-20. I emphasize "personally" since there are so many positive reviews my needs may be different than others. The Not So Good: The cushion is completely unbreathable and became uncomfortable after a short time. I tried using it with first one and then two layers of thick bathroom towels but it still became hot and uncomfortable.

Wonderful Product - own 3 of these!
Fantastic product. Makes a huge difference. Own 3 of them (one for home, one for office, one for car) plus the Lumbar Support and Mattress. Thickness is perfect. Can be used in the office for all day, so it's more than just for travel and offers fantastic plain relief. Great customer service.
