This is a very luxurious cream with a sophisticated scent, that if it were a perfume I'd happily wear.The scent is meant to be ashwagandha and sandalwood - I don't know what ashwagandha (aka winter cherry) smells like but I do know what sandalwood smells like. Sandalwood is often used in aftershave so it has fairly masculine connotations, but here it is tempered with lavender, bergamot and vanilla to make a very sophisticated scent. The cream is rich but absorbs easily and a little goes a long way. My skin felt soft and pampered and the scent is long lasting - I noticed wafts of it every time I moved. It's a very calming, soothing scent and I like it a lot. Did I sleep better because of it? I'm not a great sleeper in the first place, but long term I think it might help.Vegan formulation, cruelty free, ocean waste plastic certified (removes equal plastic from oceans as is used in production) - what's not to like?At £19.99 for 200ml (as at 8 December 2023) I think this is a fair price to pay for what looks and feels like a premium product. Pleased to have it, would recommend.

Makes skin feel very soft

I've tried so many of them over the years and never found a single one that I liked. Which makes me wonder why I even bothered trying this one. I'm glad I did though because it's the first one that didn't dry out my skin. It smells lovely. It sinks into my skin well. I'll still need a different hand lotion because while it works great on my body, my hands still need something more as this did dry out my hands a little. But it makes my arms and legs feel good. Especially when I use it right after a shower. I found that it's really good when I use it right before bed as the scent helps me fall asleep.

As a body lotion it has good consistency. It is not a thick cream and rather soft and thin. It is good to spread out and good absorption. The cream itself is good and moisturising.Initially the smell is good, but after a while the smell still stay strong. And I do not like the stong smells. Though it says it has aroma oil as like lavender and sandalwood, but you cannot really smell those. It is added with extra aroma, as listed in the ingredients, like Linalool, Limonene, Coumarin, Citronellol and Geraniol. That makes this cream loses a star. These added fragrant is so strong that it covers all the natural aroma oil's smell. And as a night cream for sleep, the smell is too ofensive.If you have been using a lot of artificial fragrant, you may be fine with it. I have been using aroma oil for many years and I prefer more natural aroma from essential oils.

Sandalwood is one of my favourite scents and having it in a body lotion is rare, particularly one that nourishes so well. This Plantopia cream is scented with ashwagandha and sandalwood, both of which are huge parts of my cultural heritage.Ashwagandha primarily comes from India, the Middle East and some parts of Africa, and derivatives of the plant is said to contain stress reducing properties, among other benefits. Sandalwood is also said to contain calming properties to help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. The combination of these create a lovely rich scent, which has absolutely calmed me down, especially as I shower in the evenings to help me wind down.It is a very rich cream, so a little goes a long way. Some may find this scent quite strong, but I absolutely love it. You get a hefty amount as well, 200ml worth, and for just shy of £20 (at time of review) I can see why you'd want your money's worth from it. It will probably last about a month, maybe a month and a half, based on absorption into your skin and usage every day all over the body. If you choose to use it in specific areas such as hands, neck and shoulders only, for example, it may last a little longer.Overall, it is a distinct scent and if you're unsure then I'd advise getting a smaller sample to test it out before using, or using in smaller doses on wrists, neck etc. If you love sandalwood and other woody scents, with a hint of lavender/citrus then this would be perfect for you, as it is for me!

Unlike some of this company's other product selections, this is good value for 200ml. Other products I've ordered are the same price, or dearer for half the amount.I love the scent. Sandalwood for me is calming, as it's not intense.My skin feels wonderful after using and you don't need a lot with each application.The fact that the company is able to achieve what they have, while remaining sustainable is certainly commendable.This is a wonderful product and definitely recommend

Nice thick consistency but smells a bit like sudacrem!
