Good strong instant light and no flicker, but I would expect that because it wasn’t cheap.There was a problem prior to fitting the new light. Removing the previous one - the same make, same style, but the older version, bought 8 years ago, was a bit of a nightmare. The old light had been really good too, until it started to flicker quite badly. Removing it was a nightmare and took a long time due to the design and the awkward position it was in on the ceiling.The new light has improved, design wise, and it is obvious that it will be much easier to remove when it needs to be replaced.

The fitting is as described and feels pretty sturdy and gives out plenty of light in a great angle. I'm neither an electrician nor particularly handy with DIY but as long as you only have one live, one neutral and one earth wire going into your existing fitting the replacement is pretty straightforward. My favourite part is the design of the bracket which holds the fittings on the ceiling because the way the screwholes are positioned it means that you can reuse the existing plugs, holes and screws to mount your new fitting and no need to drill new holes or mess around with plasterboard or other fixings. I purchased 9 units and the first one took about 15 minutes to install but once I got the hang of it I actually managed to replace an old pendant fitting with this one in under 10 minutes. The only question remains unanswered is the lifetime of the units.

Bought this light as I was after something that would fit flush to the ceiling as I kept hitting the regular pendant fitting when I stood up to stretch from my desk. After reading the other reviews I figured this was worth a shot, especially as one review said they were able to fit it using the existing screw holes (which turned out to be true - so big win there).So onto the positives:- attaching the mounting bracket was very easy, it screwed into the existing holes from the previous fitting- I went for the middle brightness and even that is super bright, I'd recommend the lowest if you have it in a smaller room (small double is my reference)- Following on from above, it truly lights up the room, providing much better, even coverage than regular household bulbs- Looks very smart when installed and really makes the room feel more open as there is nothing dangling from the ceilingNegatives / points to consider:- The light clearly isn't made for the UK market as the Live / Neutral colours do not match UK standard, this meant just a little extra caution when installing- Most UK light fittings are now installed with a ceiling rose which this fitting does not support out the box. For this reason you'll need to also buy some connection terminals (I used wago) to re-implement the rose. This was actually very simple to do in the end but did take some trial and error.- Finally actually hooking the light to the mounting bracket; it was very difficult getting the second catch to hook on the fitting, so what should have been a very simple process turned into a drawn out one, frustrating one.Overall however, great light but dropped star for the (admittedly UK specific) installation difficulties - just make sure you take plenty of reference pictures of the existing wiring before installing (especially if you're new to this like I am).

Love these lights brought for several rooms. Old lights used to get insects inside the case, not so with these lights they are completely sealed which l think is a great idea, supplied with fast clip fit wire connections so really easy to fit.The brightness is really good, would certainly buy more when needed & recommend these to other family members as well.

Very slim a good buy

Lovely ceiling lamp, this ceiling lamp is brighter than my future :D (joking)To be honest, this ceiling lamp is very bright, makes my room look better as the light spreads across the room and light gets everywhere.this lamp perfectly fits for bedroom, or kitchen, especially if you own modern kitchen and this lamp will make it look 10 times better.Very easy to install, as it contain guide how to install it by yourself, so no need to spend money and pay somebody to fit it for you.Look - 5*Brightness - 5*Definitely will buy one more when I finish my kitchen.

Haven't installed the light yet, however the picture shows a black trim, which I liked, but unfortunately the item delivered is all white apart from the small black square outline in the centre. Unsure whether to return as if I reorder we may get the same again.

I have replaced the lights in my bathrooms with these and Wow, what a difference these have made, I can use my bathroom for applying make up and can see everything now. I am visually impaired so even trying to read information on a product is difficult but these lights have my life so much easier, they look modern and clean too . I would highly recommend if you need the brightness
