My wife thought I bought a new Door opener!
I needed to replace my whole gear assembly on my lifmaster 2265R 1/2hp. However, this part was NOT standard equipment on my opener. I saw a gentleman on YouTube replace the chain spreader on a different model opener that was standard equipment. I figured if both of our openers used the same drive gear drive asm. then there might be a good possibility that this part would fit mine. It was only a few bucks so I figured it was worth a shot. The mounting holes were there and everything lined up and went back together just fine! But what I wasn't expecting how much quieter it made the chain drive. I was blown away that it reduced the chain noise as much as it did. My wife thought I bought a new opener! So, you might want to do a little investigating to see if there is a chance... or, take the chance. You never know it might pay off in the end.

Fit my Liftmaster 3245 opener
I was very annoyed by the noise of the chain slapping against the rail every time I raised or lowered my garage door. But alas, my 2007-vintage Liftmaster 3245 opener did not come with a chain spreader and I could find nothing suggesting the ability to retrofit one. What to do?Since the model 41A5615 is inexpensive, I decided to get one and see if I could cobble together some way to fit it to my opener, perhaps by drilling some holes in the part or in the opener itself. To my delight, this proved unnecessary. The chain spreader fit perfectly using already-existing holes in the top of the opener.Installation was quick and easy: raise the garage door; unplug the opener (for safety reasons); loosen the chain somewhat (leaving it on the sprocket); slip the spreader into place; screw it down using two screws supplied in the package; tighten the chain; plug in the opener; test and adjust as necessary.

Great improvement for my older Chamberlain opener
I have an older Chamberlain garage door opener that didn't include a chain spreader. When changing out the gear / sprocket I added the spreader hoping it would reduce noise and chain slap. While this opener didn't include the spreader originally, the mounting holes were already on it so it was a pretty simple install. Once installed it did a great job of reducing noise and chain slap that resulted in much smoother operation of the door.
