Philips Norelco Shaver 3600 Series, Wet and Dry Electric Shaver, P-Cap, Travel Pouch, Ash Gold, Model S3242/90

Quiet and powerful. Very gentle on the skin. Rubber grip in all the right places. No risk of accidentally hitting the on/off button while shaving like some of the other models. I tried one of the newer models with the angled pentagon head and returned it immediately and bought this one. The angled head model has the blade too far away from the edge and is VERY irritating to the skin. Get this model and you’ll be happy. Note that I’ve had at least 10 Norelco shavers over the years and this is my favorite. I use the shaver to shave my face and bald head. Con: It would be nice if it came with a travel case.

This is my third Norelco shaver. Works well. No electric razor gets as close of a shave as a razor, but it does a decent job. I much prefer this version vs the Norelco with the pivoting head. This one feels more comfortable in my hand. Would recommend this razor. The only downside is the charger must be plugged into a USB outlet. They should have stuck with the regular plug in.

Shaver works fine. Better than my previous 9 year old Norelco that is breaking. No brush and no charger just as advertised. Came with a snap on cover for the heads and a usb-a cable for charging. That is it. No travel pouch as indicated in description. Charges quickly with a 5V, 1A phone charger. First full charge from 1/3 to full took less than an hour. Shaver appeared to have shut off the charging when it was full.

I chose this shaver because replacing the blades of my old norelco shaver did not help get a closer shave. Right out of the box it has worked well, just as I expected. I do like that it has several lighted bars that give you an idea of the power left in the unit that my previous shaver lacked. On the downside, I had to use by own usb plug to use it that was not provided in the box. I suppose this is the way the market is going, but not a fan. My old shaver had a more conventional cord and plug which was more compact for travel. I was a little wary about quality, as the pricing was lower than a lot of other norelco models, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it works. Here's hoping it lasts as long as my previous model.

I have been using a Norelco for many years. Very satisfied with the quality of the latest product. Well made and gives a close shave and doesn’t irritate and can be used for shaving your head as I do. It’s an aqua model so can be used with water. I also like that Norelco has transitioned to USB-C charging which makes traveling easier. No big a/c adapter to carry. Almost all products use usb-c now.

Update: It's been about a month and it works better than ever. I was a skeptic about the "21 days" to get better, but it's true. No irritation, no ingrown hair. Much smoother than the first few uses, but still not absolutely mirror-smooth. No need for shave powder or oil. Excellent shaver. Original post: Just received it and used it twice. This Norelco works great on my scalp stubble. It provides me with the "bald" look I sought without apparent irritation. My scalp isn't "smooth". Not hardly. It looks bald, but if you rub against the grain, it feels like sandpaper. That's OK by me.I used a little powder (Anti-Monkey Butt brand). I'm surprised at how completely it trims and how quietly it works. The pop-up trimmer is useful at the intersection with my short beard and with ear hairs. I plan to use it 3x a week.

This product is complete "meh". But at least it's inexpensive. It's adequate for me.The shave is mediocre and the decision to use USB but with a *proprietary connector* to the razor just reeks of an out-of-touch management committee that has no idea how the world works. Even USB micro on the shaver end would have been a better choice.

I was going to wait until the manufacturer recommended twenty one days to review this product, but I’ve got to crow about this now! I’ve tried many different foil shavers over the years, only to have two fairly effective ones. This is my first time trying a rotary shaver(especially on black skin), and I’m having NO REGRETS! When I first fired it up, I was underwhelmed. After a bit of experimenting, I tried a little shave oil and water for a quick, smooth and close shave. Initially, what attracted me was the product description. It purported to be “tough on ingrown hairs but gentle on skin.” We’ll, it’s ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS! The only takeaway, but hardly a dealbreaker, is the battery life. It seems to indicate two weeks max. But then again, I typically make three passes to get the flat lying and curly beard growth(typical of black men). I feel as if God granted me wisdom to pick the RIGHT one!
