Q: Can you use it on curtains/drapes?

You can, although the suction is pretty strong and it can get stuck the curtain into the vacuum. I would recommend laying down the curtains on a flat surface and stretch them out to clean. The UV light only activates when the little small wheels under the vacuum are pressed down. Also, the vacuum has different mode, so you can turn off the UV if your only using the vacuum. It will pick up all the dust that's for sure. Hope this helps. ;)

Q: Does it work on rechargeable battery or needs to be wired to socket when using it?

Hello, it needs to be wired into socket. It’s a good product and it works amazingly well even though I would have prefered a cordless one but it does the job and I’m very satisfied.
