I think any child into dogs or vets would enjoy this set. There are lots of plastic vet tools, several with moving parts, and a little vet outfit that I think would fit ages 3-6 well. The dog carrier conveniently holds everything. You could use this with your existing collection of toy animals and doctor them all. I'm not as keen on the dog that comes with the set. It is cute, but hard (since it is robotic) and not cuddly. It takes 2 AA batteries and walks and barks (more of a loud squeak). It doesn't do anything interactive-- it just barks and walks when turned on, and stops when turned off-- not the sort of thing you want a dog to do at the vet! It took me a while to find the on/off switch (at the bottom of the battery panel under the fur). The advertised barking when you pat it on the head is because you can hit the squeaker there if you pat hard enough. So I think it is a good vet set and a cute novelty dog, but don't really belong together.

Loved for the half hour it lived!
Ironically the dog died within half an hour and couldn’t be revived by the vet!Was absolutely adorable and very loved but its little tummy overheated and it packed up.Not sure this is safe but a couple of parts are deffo small for 3 year olds.
