Thermal camera is nearly useless for any up close applications. Bought to find shorts on circuit boards and the camera was too hazy and froze up constantly, multimeter side functioned alright. Just an overpriced multimeter.

This unit is impressive @ price point. 4 stars only bc it advertises to measure current and clearly does not. Thermal imaging is reasonably good and functions well. Resolution for thermal is also quite good considering the price point; however, for around $50 to $80 more you can have a notably better thermal resolution device like vevor's offerings, ACEGMET or infiray (discounted) offerings.If this unit had ability to hold dynamic range so that the relative color scheme would not jump around, it would be a keeper. I actually am returning the item not bc of that, but bc I actually bought it for the multimeter side (needing a current measuring multimeter which this advertised as having but does not in reality) and thinking the thermal would be a handy addition. The unit does not have any ability to perform current measurement, only voltage measurement and various other measurements. Does have ability to graph over time almost any of the measurements it does have which is impressive. If I had purchased this unit for the thermal side, I would have kept it but I do not have good use case for that as of now.... just a neat add on.
