Great flavor, good for your teeth!
Compared to a lot of other brands (Orbit, Stride, Dentyne Ice) this is a milder peppermint flavor. I would compare it more to Freshmint Trident. It is sweet and smooth, and it freshens breath without overpowering the chewer! The main reason I purchased this gum was because it has Recaldent. My dentist is a big believer in Recaldent strengthening teeth, so she suggested I use it. It also has the benefit of containing Xylitol, which is also good for teeth.I like the flavor, but I can speak for it actually improving my teeth. Also, not a bad buy here on Amazon because it is hard to find in stores!

Great for Keeping Teeth Healthy
This gum used to be available in stores but, now I can never find it in local stores. I think it is the best gum to keep teeth healthy, especially to use it after eating/drinking. It helps keep my sensitive teeth problem at bay. The taste lasts a long time too. If you drink coffee, chew a stick afterwards to lessen staining. I recommend this product.

Terrible for you!
Astounding.I did some research on Recaldent, which perked my interest, so I decided to try it. Apparently, in the USA, Trident is the only gum that has this particular ingredient. What you don't see are the other ingredients that are incredibly controversial and (most likely) detrimental to your health. For all those who'd like to see the ingredients for this gum, here they are:Sorbitol, gum base, xylitol, glycerin, natural and artificial flavoring, mannitol; less than 2% of: acesulfame potassium, aspartame, BHT (to maintain freshness), Blue 1 Lake, Calcium Casein Peptone-calcium phosphate (lactose-free milk derivative), soy lecithin, titanium dioxide (color) and Yellow 5 Lake.Phenylketonurics: Contains PhenylalinineContains: Milk, soyThis item is not eligible for a refund; hence my regret for not doing the (what should have been obvious) homework.Do yourself a favor: skip this gum.Do some research, look into the toothpaste, but I'd really...reaaaallly recommend avoiding this. You know, unless you like chewing on chemical laced gum. Free country! :)

Trident, take out the ASPARTAME please!
Now I have purchased this gum a few times before but not always from amazon, the gum itself tastes good, good texture somewhat firm but good textureThe reason this gum stands out to me is because of the recaldent in each piece which I believe can help with cavity issues and demineralization, if you chew this gum after meals it theoretically should do a better job at cleaning/remineralizing teeth than just regular gum (trident original)Now my issues that I have are some of the ingredients like the aspartame which is a very controversial sweetener with a wide range of reported health effectsFor that reason I chew this gum sparingly, only after meals and I have another gum for my real gum habitIf trident would take out the aspartame I would give this gum 5 stars but since I cant see that happening I guess I can't give this gum a 5 star review

Deliciously Deadly!
It's great gum, tastes great, lasts a while, and contains Xylitol. But if you're buying it for the dental benefits of Xylitol, DON'T! The advantages of Xylitol are far outweighed by the fact that the main ingredient is Sorbitol, which can be metabolized by carries-causing bacteria. There are a handful of other gums that are sweetened by 100% Xylitol, which (at least to me) is preferable.

Some of the best gum I've tried
For the most part, I found myself not generally a gun person. I would chew a piece or two a day to have decent breath, but if I could get my hands on a breath mint then I would opt for that instead. Now, the original trident never really suited the taste I was looking for- it was a sharp and strong mint flavor that, to me, was simply unpleasant. Of course, it was good for your teeth, so I grabbed some everyone once in a while anyway.Eventually I heard about this stuff. Supposedly amazing for your teeth (helps the enamel which means it isn't quite as sensitive to cold and heat), this gum caught my eye in the store and I had to try it... I fell in love at first chomp. It tastes, to me, like a combo of chocolate and mint. It has become my anti-chocolate, with an added bonus that it helps my teeth out! Unfortunately, it is pretty hard to get your hands on, so I order mine online in bulk. :)

Almost perfect
Almost perfectToo bad there's various preservatives, food colorings, and strange chemicals in the gum. Why can't they just make it all-natural.The flavor lasts a good bit, especially if you don't chew too much and let it sort of sit around in your mouth like a hard candyIt is soft so you can tear off half a piece or only a third of a pieceThe container is very space effective. Easy to pull out a piece to offer to your friends unlike certain brands which have you rip open the tinfoil and get your nasty fingers all over it.You don't have to actually touch the gum if you want to eat a piece because it's very easy to pull out and open the paper wrapping to pop into your mouth. Some brands you have to touch the gum with your finger and sometimes this is inconvenient because you may have just finished sitting on the can without washing your hands.

Great gum!
Ignore the ridiculous frivolous lawsuit- this gum does exactly what is says it will- it really is not trident's fault if you actually think a magic gum will fill in cavities (which are caused by your own negligence, jeez)- this gum will help strengthen and repair the structure of your teeth- the actual molecular structure. This gum will promote salivation- which neutralizes acid. This gum contains xylitol which bacterium cannot metabolize. This gum attacks the three main factors in tooth decay all at once. But, and everyone should already know this, this gum is not a replacement for flossing and brushing, jeez, why would you even think it was?Excuse the frustrated tone, I just read about the lawsuit and I am overwhelmed with the idea that stupid people so desperately want the law to protect them from their willful ignorance.
