Great heater, upgrade from Mr. Buddy
Used in connection with a propane filter and large tank adapter hose. I like this unit much better than my Mr. Buddy I previously had. I like the position of the regulator on the back and the unit feels solid and not plastic like the Buddy. Also it's more square so feels less prone to accidental tip over in my tent. Puts out great heat!

Powerful little portable heater!
If you need a small, easily portable space heater, this is a great choice! It's rugged enough to take along for camping or to a job site and will easily hook up to your propane bottle or tank. It has great safety featuers like the cage that prevents accidentally bumping into the heating elements, a shutoff in case of tip overs, and best of all a sensor that can detect if the heater has depleted oxygen. I believe it's a good value and I recommend it!

This is good, and it produces some heat!
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice little heater, it lacks some stuff that the big buddy heater has...like battery / AC powered fan to blow the heat around with a top mounted blower motor, my only real complaint is the controls are on the back for heating pilot light on the front, making it hard to see while your starting it up. It's not a deal breaker because it works fine! However it does take getting used to. It's a small heater so you can't expect that same amount of heat from this as a bigger two element unit like the two tank big buddy heater...but what I like is it's smaller making it more useful if your in a smaller space that needs to be heated (usual warning about CO2 heating small spaces) overall this is portable, small and produces heat well, it's also cheaper then the big buddy so that is a plus! I think the buddy retails around $125. A few places I'd use this: in the hunting blind, ice fishing, large tent camping (just leave a draft for it), maybe hanging outside on the porch at night. I would also expect that this would use less gas on low than the big buddy (I'm not running both of these side by side to compare them though). This isn't small enough for backpacking (but if you have a large military ruck you could put this in it once it's cooled off- you can fit a lot of stuff in those big bags so if you needed to hike this in, it's something I wouldn't want to do- but it could be done with this smaller heater!), so this heater would be good car camping, quadding and 4x4ing, or even keeping your shed warm while your out there tinkering on stuff. I want to also mention that if you know about the big buddy, you will also know you can buy an adapter regulator but you would also need a filter to use it (amazon and tractor supply for the filters): basically the filter screws in where the 1 gallon tank goes, and the line with the regulator goes out to your 20 gallon propane tank. You'll want to follow all the instructions and check your system for leaks before running it (there are videos on how to do this on youtube) just letting you know that adapter should work fine with this heater! So be safe out there with this heater! Another thought for someone looking at this heater, if you want a fan for this amazon has ones that go on top of wood stoves, they make a two propeller model that snaps on to the big buddy that would likely fit on this also! No power required as heat causes the fan to move. I will be telling my friends about this heater because it's pretty small and useful! Thank you -Mike

I like this little guy!
I like this little heater. The pictures I have show it being used with a 20lbs tank and an adapter that is sold separately. I have read that I should have a filter with the adapter hose, so I plan I getting that next. I didn't have a full 1lbs tank to show in the photos but obviously the heating of the unit shouldn't vary from a small tank to a large tank. It gives off a good amount of heat and is easy to use. It's comparable to the well known name in these heaters but saves you some money going with this one. I can't complain about anything I found with it so far. I would recommend this to friends.

Impressive little heater!
I have four senior miniature dachshunds that absolutely hate to go out in the rain and/or cold weather. So, we set up a temporary shelter in the backyard to make them an outdoor potty area. I got this little heater to keep their area warm on cold, icy days.It heats up quickly and is super sturdy so the pups can’t knock it over, but it has tip protection and would cut off if that did happen. Over the years we have tried several different types of outdoor heating, and this by far is the best option we have found.Overall, it’s a great heat source thats study and quiet so it doesn’t scare my pups. Love it and recommend it!

Small but puts out a lot of heat
I plan to use it for a backup heat source. Power goes out at least once every winter so this will be perfect for that. It probably wont heat the whole house but we'll see how it does. For the price I might order a second one for the back of the house. Also, get a carbon monoxide detector for safety when using this stove. I'm very impressed with this little heater.

Works great!
This little heater really heats! Husband's home office is in the garage, and while it is insulated, it still gets cold out there. He did have a little trouble at first getting it lit, but once he got it started there has been no issue. The small bottle the unit is designed for only lasts an hour or so, so Husband cranked out the big guns and attached a BBQ sized tank to keep the heat going for the week, about four hours a day.

Impressed with the heat output.
I really limes the simplicity of this heater. With a 1lb tank, the heater starts immediately. It really throws out some good heat. Perfect for the shop or an ice fishing house, or in an emergency. The handle makes it possible to transport it easily. It's large enough where you can wear mittens or gloves and have plenty of room in the handle. The heater material does not feel cheap. It's also nice that you can hook up a 20lb tank for longer run times. The shape of the heater make I'd feel stable on a surface, but it also has some good safety feature in case it tips over. This is a nice option when considering portable heaters.
