Amazing for the airplane
Amazing for long haul flights! My legs are always sooo uncomfortable. This allows me to move my feet around and elevate them a little more. Really helps since I am short. Also, even though some airplanes have a little foot rest in their economy plus section, I felt like this stool still helped because I could move it to the exact spot I wanted. It is very flat so it can fit in almost any bag. The only downside is that it is a bit heavier than I would have hoped but light enough that I can easily take it in my backpack or carry on purse (if it were any lighter I don't think it would be sturdy enough so not a complaint just an FYI). Highly recommend if you're looking for an option for the plane that isn't a hanging leg rest.

Perfect For Airplane Travel
Have used this footrest on several flights now and must say it is definitely a necessity on longer flights. I am 6'1 and 228 lb and this works perfect for me. It folds nice and compact and fits easily into my travel backpack and it takes all but 10 seconds to open and 10 seconds to close and put away. If you're looking for a way to elevate and or relax tired feet and lower legs on airplanes, or even buses or at work, this really is a nice footrest to have. I recommend.

Great product
This portable footrest worked great! When I need to rest my feet when traveling, this footrest, although small, helped to relieve the pain in my legs and feet after all the walking I did while on vacation. Good quality.

This is surprisingly heavy, and not in a good way.
I wanted one of these for a long time, it seemed there were consistent good reviews, and it is very well built and sturdy. I have short legs and appreciate the 5 inch height and extendable wings, having just completed a trip with several legs over 4 hours each without this, I knew it was time to try this. This is marketed for travel, and that is a problem. I can see this used in a home office, moving it between rooms as a footrest, but carrying this as part of carry on luggage is questionable because it is surprisingly heavy. I know people buy these as a squatty potty substitute for travel, and it might be worth schlepping it in carry on baggage for dual use as a footrest/squatty potty, and I'm going to try it on my next trip in a couple of months.Just be aware it weighs as much as a filled, small metal water bottle. It is also very expensive for what you get, somewhere in the $25.00 or $30.00 range is more like it. I was gifted a $50.00 certificate, so I got this. I don't think I would have bought this otherwise, and still wouldn't.

Convenient
I am 5' tall and my legs dangle when at church. This makes holding my material in my lap so much easier. It is small and lightweight. It fits right into my small carry bag.

A little on the heavy side
It is a little bulky to carry with you. Not easy to setup in the airplane if you don’t have some extra space. I used it on an international flight and it was okay, but started to hurt the bottom of my foot after awhile.

This Is a must for frequent travelers!
Our family loves to travel. We love long road trips as well as flying all over the world to exciting and new destinations. What I don't love is the pain and discomfort I feel in my hips and legs when I'm cramped into a tiny airplane seat or when I've been in the car for too long.I've seen this portable footstool in a few travel catalogs I get and I've often thought I should buy one, but I keep trying to fully justify the purchase. I tried using my large tote bag that I shove under the seat in front of me as a foot rest and it just didn't see to provide me with the right amount of lift for my footsies. Now, I'm not expert in the proper alignment of the legs, hips, etc., but I wasn't getting the proper support from my tote bag. Not to mention that putting my shoes all over my purse wasn't ideal. So I finally purchased the footstool before our recent flight. My husband thought it was funny, but he's not laughing at me now. I had a great flight! After the plane reached safe altitude, I pulled my handy dandy footstool out of my purse, shoved my purse back under the seat, and I enjoyed the entire flight pain free.I plan on taking this little gem with me on every road trip and on every flight. It folds flat, is about an inch in depth, and the length/width fits inside my large tote purse. For anyone who has to constantly get up and stretch out your legs and hips, I highly recommend this portable footstool. I got it in the purple. It's not my favorite color, but it definitely stands out against the airplane or car's interior foot well, so I'll never forget it.On another note, I recently started wearing compression socks during flights too, and between these two things, I'm pain free from take off to landing.

Where has this been all my life?
I am short - 5'3" - and I am always uncomfortable on planes, in movie theaters, my desk, etc. as it puts strain on my hips and back with my feet dangling down. I try to sit cross-legged as much as possible, but that's not always feasible. This little guy is my HERO. I have a regular foot stool under my office desk, but one of my monitors is in front of a cabinet, so there's very little room to put a stool when I'm facing that monitor. This fit the bill perfectly! It's nice and skinny so it can fit between my chair and the cabinet. I will be taking this on all future flights as well - I won't have to prop my feet up on my carry-on anymore! It weighs 1 lb, 4 oz according to my postage scale, and I got it in purple because it seemed more fun than black, haha! My only gripe is that $40ish is a bit steep - I think $30 would be more appropriate - but my comfort is priceless, so there we are!
