This camera is great!
Had trouble with the camera in the first couple of days, so I am writing this review to help others.Buy a microSD card and format it according to their instructions (otherwise the camera does not work). When you place the camera onto your iPhone, press firmly until it clicks. It takes a little more pressure than I was willing to put in at first, which is why it was not connecting to the phone.Download software from insta360 that allows you to view and export images.I have been looking for a good 360 camera and think I have finally found it! It produces great images during the day, even with very high dynamic range scenes (this was my biggest worry). At night or indoors, the images are a bit grainy, but perfectly usable.I have never enjoyed any camera as much as this one.

Fun Camera
Now this is a treat to have. what I like is thqt the camera are set so close to each other that the staching is easily doen and very little fawing. Great 360 camera and one can hanve a bunch fun with it making video and doing video calls. Yep that is right video calls. Now that is a hoot. the only thing is you have to change the viewing angle for others to see around. Takes some work to get the hang of it but you learn real fast and as long as your connect is fast so will the 360 view be.

Very buggy. Works....sometimes.
The device would constantly freeze up and the software was very buggy. I could have gotten a defective unit, but overall not impressed.Ended up returning it.

Great product but not professional grade
This camera does exactly what it's supposed to do, but the stitching and coloring is off quite a bit in 360 so I'll upgrade to a professional VR camera at some point. The compact size and ease of use, along with the memory card slot in the device itself makes it extremely user-friendly and the app is great. Used with a multi-axis stabilizer, this camera does exactly what I want and is extremely portable and a useful tool. I would recommend this product to anyone starting out with VR production or need something compact and fits like a glove with your iPhone. I'll update this review with photos and video once I get some intended to show its capacity.

Built like garbage.
I’ve had nothing but Problems with all of these Insta 360 cameras, I’m just going to stick with my Rylo or GoPro. This one won’t connect after charging it, and checking the free function. BROKE second Insta360 camera going back. The go-live 360 seemed pretty cool but is lacking and slow.

Just a toy, nothing really useful
I found this to be a cute little toy. I am glad I didn't pay MSRP for it though as it was never worth more than $100.Cons:* Camera goes dead fast. Phone goes dead fast. No way to power both phone & camera with an external battery while live streaming so expect to run out of juice fast.* No tripod mount so you have to get creative and build your own mount.* Poor quality video/photos. Facebook video streaming claims it can do 720p/1080p/1280p, but it always looks like 360p on the desktop. The video does look a bit better when viewing on a smaller phone screen.* The camera only seems to work with the Insta360 app. I would have loved it if the camera worked with other 3rd party apps on the phone.* The PC Insta360 viewer app just locks up and never loads any photos or videos. Just hangs. The Insta360 editor app does work well though.I should have just stuck with making panorama shots with my iPhone 7.

Amazing and easy 360 video/photo with your iphone
This is the most affordable and best way to enter the 360 space with an iphone. Snaps right on and away you go. The effects are great and many, the quality is great and they include an awesome software studio to edit your 360, from where you can post right to YouTube. Also great for creating content for Oculus or any VR.

Solid hardware lacking in instructions
Admittedly, this was an implulse buy after the price dropped a LOT. It's not my first 360 device. I also have a Samsung Gear 360, and this camera suffers from the same issue: the lack of clear instructions on how to use it! The app is very cryptic, and it took me a while to figure out how to make everything work. None of the features are really explained in detail. I still haven't figured out how to format the 128Gb SD card I bought (on the plus side, it just worked without having to do that), but I might want to do a mass delete of files at some point. You just have to kind of wander around the app, pushing buttons to see what happens. At one point it kept taking pictures every few seconds (a burst mode?), but I couldn't figure out how to stop it, so had to kill the app and restart it. Maybe when I spend some more time with it, I'll feel more comfortable with using it, but in this day and age, we expect to NOT have to fight the UI or even crack open a manual (which,it this case, is pretty useless).I've only had this for a few days, but on the plus side, it seems to stitch the panorama together more seamlessly than ny Gear 360 does. We'll see how easy it easy to share 360 videos online; another thing the Gear 360 does NOT do easily. Stay tuned.
