Perfect Fit
This engine valve cover gasket was a perfect fit for my Jeep Wrangler! Installation was straightforward, and it sealed up tight with no leaks. Quality material that holds up well under heat and pressure. Great replacement part—definitely recommend for keeping your Jeep running clean and smooth!

Quality gasket - seals up nicely.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These gaskets are much better than the OEM style cork gaskets. They’ll eventually harden from the heat; but they seal up nicely. I have them on my XJ and TJ, and they seem to last about 10 years. The way they’re constructed, you don’t have to worry about missing the mating surface on the back of the engine. Just make sure you clean both surfaces properly. They also include the grommets for the bolts on the top side of the valve cover.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 4.0L
Fit my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo/WJ 4.0L 4x4 Auto trans perfect. Not bad to install, bet on replacing your pcv valve and the other breather elbow thing. The seals get brittle and the plastic fittings break off. Other than that the gasket resolved the majority of my oil leaks. Don't neglect the bolt seals that come with it. The old ones are guaranteed to disintegrate when you try to remove them.

Great product, but did not arrive but a month after ordered, do I had to purchase same gasket through a different seller. The Amazon return process was most excellent and responsive!

If you have a leak this will solve it!
I’m 7 months pregnant and own a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0. Well there has been a horrible leak for so long it was smoking. It caused damage to sparks, several censors, and just horrible to ride around with. Well it was finally warm enough for me to be outside digging in my hood and I got it done! It’s a wonderful product if you have a leak or just need to change a gasket. My car finally can run while I’m sitting! I don’t have to turn it off nor is there a huge puddle of oil in my driveway. Fits perfectly!

Fel-Pro 99 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 I-6. Perfect fit and performance
I may be reaching a bit by putting 3stars in regards to its “Ease of Install” rating, but I’ll explain. To begin with, the product is excellent. The box it was delivered in had about a 45deg bend in it, but it did not affect the gasket’s performance, thankfully, and has been leak-free so far. It’s delivered in the same box as if you bought it from a part store, so the box is flimsy for rough shipping. Anyways, as far as install goes, it would’ve been nice for Fel-Pro to include the metal grommets that go in between the rubber ones that are included. Adds a bit of extra time popping the old ones out, but you can’t install the valve cover without them. If your budget allows you to buy a new set of the metal inserts, I would just go down that route for a cleaner and easier install. This may be the gear head in me, but I love seeing that thick blue “piece of mind” gasket between the valve cover and head.UPDATE: 11/12/20Almost a year later and still no leaks. 👍
