If you are a Roversi fan: its a beautiful book, you want it.
If you are only a Dior fan first you may want to do an image search on Dior & Roversi, as you see from the cover Roversi likes his longer exposures & is sometimes ok with blurring to give an impression rather than showing all the details. It starts with a usual complementary five page preface this time by Emanuele Coccia giving the work some context in fashion photography history, which is nice to have, then on to the good stuff. The book is oversize clothbound with images finely printed on heavy matte stock. Images are all laid out one per page, varying sizes all with white space around, sometimes facing a blank page sometimes two per spread. Most shots are from magazine spreads from 1991 to 2017 with a new shoot in the middle of Christian Dior's designs 1947-1957 for this book & exhibition. There are several handwritten notes from Roversi glued onto the pages thanking his collaborators: models, designers, editor & stylist and interestingly several alternative images glued down so you can flick between the two choices.I am not going to review the work as you can find enough images online to decide if it is for you. For me the book is a beautifully made object which gives me great pleasure to leaf through. If you read this a few years from now when it is out of print & costs several times as much I probably still think its worth it.

Fab!
It's a beautiful collection of classic Roversi-style photos, well printed on heavy paper in a luxuriously clothbound volume. I suspect this book will become a collectors item once it's out of print - just like most, if not all other books by Paolo Roversi. I am glad I got my copy in time. It's a gorgeous book!
