Lumenok 2219 Crescent Bolt End (1-Pack), Red

I confess to this being an impulse buy after watching the Lumenok being used on a television program. I have been a bowhunter for 25 years. This year a shoulder injury had me switch to a crossbow for hunting season. It was almost impossible to visualize a normal bolt on its way to the target. This product lets you know exactly where the target was hit. And on a hunt, exactly where the animal was hit. Admittedly a little pricey, this nock might not be right for the target shooter. But for someone who hunts, it is worth every penny. The only problem I had was at first the nock would not light up. I discovered that the paint on the bolt extended inside the bolt, and it was easily fixed by a little superfine grit sandpaper. I will be purchasing more over the next year to outfit ALL my bolts and regular hunting arrows, and after watching my hunt this year, so will my husband.

Work exactly as they should. Bright.One thing not mentioned in the instructions is that if the shaft end is painted the contacts may not complete the circuit. Fine sandpaper on the end of the shaft ensures good contact and brightest light.I use mine with Carbon Express aluminum shaft “Game Slayer” arrows. The inside diameter is a tiny bit larger than Easton 2219 shafting, but a bit of tape snugs the nock in nicely.Please note that this product is designed for aluminum shafts only. It will not work on carbon fiber arrows. It seems that some other reviewers missed this point, so of course the mocks didn’t work correctly for them.

In spite of my best efforts, I just couldn't get this nock to work consistently. I watched every YouTube video and read every tips and advice forum I could find, tried the sandpaper and all the little gimmicks, but this thing would either not seat and move correctly or, once it was seated, not close its circuit and light up more than one time before having to be removed and redone. I ended up getting one that relied on a magnet to activate and found it to be a thousand times easier to install and, more importantly, reliable to activate 100% of the time. I use Beman ICS carbon lightning bolt arrows so I don't have any reason to believe that the composition of my bolts should be a connection issue, but you never know! I just got a deer yesterday on the opening day of the season and would have lost my arrow if my lighted nock hadn't been there. So be 100% sure you know your nock will work or you will be flushing $20 bills down the toilet when you let that arrow fly and get a good pass-through shot! Okay, that's a little dramatic, but you get the point.

Do not buy if you are looking to purchase to fit in Barnett 22 inch bolts. They do NOT fit in Barnett bolts. Otherwise, they would probably be great to use. Does anyone know if there are any lumenocks that do fit Barnett 22" bolts? I only gave it 3 stars because it didn't fit in the bolts I needed it to. Otherwise, I may have given a different rating.

These nocks are great for shooting in low light conditions. They activate when shoot the bow and can be tweaked in order to get the right amount of pressure to activate on your shot. These particular ones are the green version. I have also purchased the red and for me, the red stands out better at twilight... after dark though not much difference.

Great product. I can't imagine shooting an arrow without a Lumenok on it. They make it so easy to find your arrow in the woods after you shoot. I have many of them.

These are awesome!, easy to install very bright, I expect to get a lot of use out of these babies!, fast shipping great seller , would recommend and use again fer sure!!

Wish they would let you know what size diameter these are. They wouldn't fit in my bolts I am thinking they are for an aluminum arrow. Anyway they are really cheap and poor design don't waste your money.
