Columbia Women's Joy Peak Mid Jacket

Love this jacket. So warm and very lightweight. The chalk color is really pretty and the fit seems true to size. Not long enough for a trench but hits mid thigh to help keep out wind and cold more full-bodied . The hand cuffs are comfortable and help keep the wind and cold out of sleeves as well . Water resistant for light rain or snow.

Needed it for Quebec in February. Good sizing, warm. Compact when not wearing. Great color. Snow and rain resistant. Loved the hand covers.

I got this on Amazon for almost half what Cabela's had it on "clearance". I had tried it on there so I knew what size I wanted. If you are hesitating or between sizes, go up a size, especially if you want to wear thicker clothing items in the winter. There isn't a ton of stretch to it. It is warm, and love the length, it covers my butt and upper thighs so getting into a cold car with leather seats is much better! Seems to resist water well, but wouldn't call it a raincoat. We didn't have a cold winter, so maybe next winter will be a true test of its warmth, but Columbia coats have never let me down.

This coat is OK. The XL is too small for me- the 2XL is a little too large so I'm in between sizes since I suspect the 1X could also be too small, I am 5'6.5"/little over 200 lbs. Would call this a little larger than true to size.The omni heat shield lining is nice throughout and a fleece lined undetachable hood- but I think you need a snug fit for the body heat to be trapped in the very cold weather. It is attractive enough for a lower cost, (got it on sale) synthetically insulated winter coat. It should hold its shape for a 2-3 of years at least. Down coats just don't hold up well as far as looks go. They start to sag.This style has the firmer shape to stay looking nice. And should launder nicely compared to down.

All the girls in my family adore their Columbia coats, but one of my daughters is going out west and wanted a warmer, longer jacket. I decided to give this one a try since it is their warmest. She absolutely loves it! It is wonderful quality, and the blue is a gorgeous color. She also stays toasty warm in it.

I used in -7 degree but it's not much useful we need more layers like other jockets . Not worth of money
