I could sing, I love this torch so much. After yrs of buying crummy torches that drain batteries before I get to use them, I've finally found the perfect torch. Its nice & weighty, perfect for clumping hubby when he snores in night. And large enough not to get lost in a draw.Very happy. Buy it now !

Poor quality
Try any light from 4Sevens, Armytek, Eagletac, Fenix, Jetbeam, Klarus, Nitecore, Olight, Peak, Thrunite, Wolf Eyes, Zebralight and many others and you will realise just how unnecessarily large, heavy, poorly anodised and dim Maglites are. If you want a budget option then think about Solarforce or many other budget options like them.Basically, all of the manufacturers listed above, and many others make a range of lights that are:BrighterUse higher grade, thicker AluminiumUse a range of more efficient batteries (lithium-ion, AAA, AA, 18650 etc)Have HA-III hard anodizing (Mag is type II, so will scratch up easily)Have longer runtimesHave regulated outputHave metal reflectors (Mag use plastic)Have glass lenses (Mag use plastic, they scratch easily)Have neater beams (Mag beam looks a bit wonky)Have a host of modes, including SOS, strobe etc (No modes with this thing, just on and off!)There are other problems I found with all my D cell maglites too. The rubber boot cover that is over the button WILL come off and get lost, it is just a matter of time. The threads are not great and are not square cut. The light is not waterproof, so the lens can easily fog up and if submerged will let in water.The use of Alkaline batteries means you cannot leave the cells in the light when in storage, as they will leak and ruin the torch. D cell re-chargeable batteries and charger are very hard to come by now, so you have little option."But wait, there are lots of good reviews on here all 5 stars, so why should I believe you?" I hear you ask. Well, don't. Try a Google search and find out for yourself what else is out there before you spend your hard-earned on a Maglite. The update to LED instead of old incandescent bulbs came far too late and is just a lazy effort. This is the same old Maglite with little or no design thought to LED use. There is no heat sinking between the LED and body and the focus feature is as badly done as ever.I wasted years using them, because I did not know any better. I am a serving Police Officer and have a lot of experience in using Maglites in actual duty, as well as many modern alternatives. Very few Police officers carry Maglites anymore, for good reason.

Too long and heavy
Did'nt realise how long and heavy this product would be, not as bright as I thought it would be also. Pretty sure there are other torches on the market that do the same job without the bulkiness of this torch.

this is not led and not bright
buyer beware keep packaging or up grade with led bulbit's not the best out thereits not bright has no distance even with brand new battery's large dark center spot

Most Trusted Flashlight Owned
Not as bright as an led but definetly has longer battery life. Has an adjustment for a wide or pointed beam and comes with an extra bulb. Sturdy metal casing is water and damage resistant, left it in extreme hot and cold temperatures and it still lit up. It's peace of mind that this flashlight is always going to light when you need it most. Had one under the bed for near 10 years never used and still turns on. If you're using for just a flashlight order a two cell battery for roadside emergencies or to have more mobilty in a small space. If you want protection as well order one with three or more cell batteries.

Super! Genial!
Ich habe bei dieser Mag-Lite bereits zum 2. Mal (mit etwas Geduld und bei einem Preis von 19,95 Euro) zugeschlagen. Diese Stablampe ist wirklich genial! Erstens ist sie (im Vergleich zu unseren bisherigen Lampen anderer Hersteller) total hell und der Energieverbrauch wirklich niedrig. Ich würde diese Taschenlampe jederzeit wieder kaufen!
