This item is better than the original one that came with the CPAP.

I was so tired of the long lines on my face daily from my full face mask supplied with my Resmed cpap machine. I decided to call the supplier and get more information on what I could do.I should mention that I also occasionally use the nasal pillows but they come with their own issues.I bought this mask and the head gear to go with my machine based on the recommendation of the respiratory therapist I spoke with. I had just taken delivery of a new face mask do I didn’t have the option of getting this mask from my supplier right then. I didn’t want to wait another six months do I went ahead and bought on Amazon.The mask is small and comfortable and the indentations along the side of my face are much smaller and are only along the side of my nose now.My biggest problem with this mask and head gear is the way the bottom portions of the head gear attaches to the mask frame.I was very use to my old mask and had become so adept at connecting it all together I could even do it in the dark.This mask and head gear uses a different type of closure when attaching the pieces together.It was quite a struggle to begin with but I knew there would be a learning curve and eventually it would probably become as automatic as the system in the full mask. Nope! It’s been months now and even though I’m better at attaching it all together it’s still a challenge every night.They changed from a flat head that inserted into a flat receptacle to a small round marble type head that has to be inserted into a U shaped receptacle. You need to insert the marble into the receptacle at the proper angle for it to click into the place. If you don’t have it at the right angle you’re stuck rotating it over and over trying to find the exact right spot.

This mask has the size indicator (in my case the letter “S”) raised but not on the inside where it’s supposed to be, but exactly where it rubs on your nose. If it weren’t for that!!!!, this would be a great mask but it’s a deal breaker for me. I will not purchase again.

I didn’t like the mask that came with my CPAP so I went shopping for something different. I decided to try this and I’m very glad I did. The seal is consistently good (and you don’t have to pull it too tight to achieve it) and the material feels very comfortable against the skin. I’ve not experienced any problems with this mask and I will likely stay with it going forward.

Does what it should be the comfort is missing in the straps
