CD-2900 Ultrasonic Contact lens Cleaner~

I was disappointed at first because this came with an European plug. I didn't know about adapters but finally found one. This machine works wonderfully and I would highly recommend it. I have not used it on the 'strong' clean yet but the daily clean removes protein and makes my rigid gas perm lens clearer than hand cleaning. I have not tried this with soft lenses but it says it works with them. I use a gas perm CLEANER in the machine. Rinse in water and store in soaking solution. Rinse again and use wetting solution before inserting. A couple extra steps but well worth it. There is a warning about weakening the lenses if you use it right after having just used it so I do what it says and clean only once a day. I am very very pleased with this product ... just remember to get the universal adapter so it works in the US if that is where you plan to use it.

Excellent product. Makes a very significant difference for my Acuvue Oasys Astigmatism soft contact lenses, practically doubling their life to a whole month. This is what I do:1. Leave the lenses overnight in Alcon Optifree Express + 1 drop of Supra Clens for each lens.2. In the morning, rinse the lenses in saline, then put them in the ultrasonic cleaner for the 2 minute cycle. Done! the lenses are good to wear and feel like new, even after several weeks of use.I sometimes add another step where I physically rub the lenses to remove dirt (using Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes daily cleaner). I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference, but I tend to do it mostly if I wore the lenses for a very long time (e.g. 18 hours straight) or in the last days before I throw away the lenses. It's just another step that can't hurt and makes me feel better.Before adding the ultrasonic cleaner to the process the lenses felt quite uncomfortable to wear even after only one week of use.Highly recommended!

Also the power cord plug is not for US outlets. Once I cleaned it up and got another cord it worked fine.

This works. Pretty well in fact. The downside is it can work too well. Using this on strengthen mode on disposable contacts is a bad bad idea. It actually melted a pair of my contacts.I got this after having gritty feelings in my contacts after only 2 days. I was able to lengthen use of my contacts to 4 days.I found out much later I have very dry eye so the grit was building up too fast on my lenses.So maybe for a normal person with disposables it wouldn't be a necessary purchase but if you're having gritty, dirty lenses way too fast with proper contact care then this is worth it.
