These digits are beautiful, sufficiently large and modern looking
Here I'm supposed to rate each digit separately but I am using the "1" as a reference for all. These digits are beautiful, sufficiently large and modern looking. The backlight is beautiful to as it leaves a fuzzy shape around the digit. Never mind the nigh light pictures - it is difficult to photograph taht light at night and I had to trust it regardless of the not that great photos. One important item to watch: the light intensity might be too strong to your taste. I am using a PWM regulator that has a potentiometer to adjust the light to my preference which also saves power by a factor of 4. The entire four digits consume about 1 watt, making me leave them on day and night. You should not use a variable voltage regulator as the lighting with various digits will not be even.

Worth the money
When we bought our house the previous owners took the numbers with them them. Wife and I both have a history in emergency services and know how hard it is to find a house at night sometimes so we wanted easily readable numbers you could see day or night. These were relatively easy to install after picking up the power pack needed. Hardwired them in and added a dusk sensor so they come on by themselves when the sun goes down. We've had then up for about a month and they are still going strong. Build quality is good, LEDs are secured, and the mounting was simple.

Cool looking, but low quality
I ordered 4 numbers. Each has 2 mounting screw sets on the back for mounting. 3 of the 8 screw grommets were not drilled out all the way so the screw bottoms out after only getting a thread or 2 screwed in. I had to Epoxy the screw in the grommet after stripping them trying to get it tight. One of the sleeves completely came out of the number. Cool looking but crappy quality for what we paid. These should be priced about $20 since I'm sure it cost less than $5 to make. Way, way, way over priced. They need a better mounting system designed also. I'm not a happy customer

What a beautiful, classy addition to my home.
It's way better than the photos show. I got mine in the stainless finish, added the LED driver, and my electrician had it installed in a snap. People can read my house number NO PROBLEM from the street, and my house is set back pretty far. I am 100% satisfied with this. As my address is a single number, this was the solution to my dillemna. The LED backlight is very bright. There's about 1/4" of clear plastic "lens" behind the number, and it really puts out the light!

Big, Bright & Classy
Love my house numbers! We had them professionally installed by an electrician; we added a sensor to employ a dusk-to-dawn display. they were installed two days ago & already we're having neighbors complement the stainless steel numbers. Easy to see in the daytime (8-inches is large, visible size). At night they cast a blue backlight to show off numbers in classy way. Glad we found these! (Night photo is shot from the street)

This is the THIRD time I've had to return this item. 2/3 defective!
The first time, I found the number to be too small because the item measurement was the measurement of *the box it came in,* NOT the actual number. I decided to return it and replace with the next size up. They sent me the 4" size again, rather than the 8" size I purchased the second time, so I had to request a replacement. I finally received the correct size; the electrician came out and wired everything up--only to find that it wouldn't light up. He thought he was doing something wrong, as the item comes with NO INSTRUCTIONS WHATSOEVER. We decided to test the other two numbers, since I had not yet sent them back. The second one: same result--nothing. The third one lit up immediately. So not only did they send me the wrong size, they also sent me ***TWO OUT OF THREE DEFECTIVE*** items. The number looks beautiful and is exactly what I wanted. However, this company has wasted so much of my time (and now my electrician's time, which I have to pay for) that I can't give them more than one star, due to poor service and even poorer QA.

updated:: Nice looking, install instructions and packaging could be better
updated review: after about two months they started to separate away, the glue isn't the right type of glue for an outside door number. all 5 of them separated, the 9 was just more top heavy. The numbers arrived with the pointed metal points and plastic plugs, 3 of the 5 numbers we ordered came with a two bolts and black rubber spacers.3 of the numbers came with a paperish stencil, unfortunately we had two 1's and so had two 1 stencils, and one was crumpled up so it was pretty useless. To install them i used the metal pins to indent a piece of wood with a square and a laser level, the website talks about 5/32 but the screw threads are M5 so i used outdoor graded bolts to replace/and add to the missing ones. Mounted them onto a piece of poplar to mount on the garage. For the missing spaces I used some pvc plastic tubing, think fuel hose would likely work too.For the numbers we had the top bolt holes are in line horizontally.

Beautiful
Easy install with provided hardware. It looks beautiful when installed, and used with matching driver.

Nice!
Looks great, a relatively straight-forward to install onto a brick pillar, I even fitted mine with an over-complicated twilight sensor/switch setup. My only criticism is the lack of instructions (the link on the box directs you to their site where they basically say, every situation is different, figure it out yourself), this might be a problem for a novice DIYer.But all in all, it feels solid and is quite bright at night. 4 1/2 stars.
