These work so well and without the mess of ice
I have a finger that is really uncomfortable with what I assume is arthritis. I have a weird writing style so I'm not surprised this happened. These sleeves help reduce the inflammation. I can do other things while using them without the mess of carrying around a dripping bag of ice. These also cover the tops and sides of the finger. They are snug (not tight) so they provide a little bit of compression. Since I only need them for one finger, I gave a couple to my parents along with the ball. The material seems to be high quality. I was concerned they wouldn't get cold enough but I usually have to take it off and on for a few minutes until it warms up a little because it is SO cold.

These are great for easing joint pain but they cool quickly
The finger sleeves get hot within 5 seconds in the microwave, but cool within a few minutes. That seemed too quick, but my finger pain is eased for several hours after one session, which is exactly what I wanted.A word of caution - these items will expand if you leave them in for more than a few seconds. I zapped the ball for around 15 seconds and it swelled to twice its size. I suspect it could explode if zapped for much longer. I was glad i caught it when i did, I would not want to clean the resulting mess.

Eh..
I thought these could be my saving grace. I have a lot of hand & joint pain. These are ok. Nice fabric and cushion. The cold doesn’t last too long and they’re pretty bulky.

No regrets
The balls are a good value, but there's no discernable difference in firmness among the three. Firmness is medium based on a tennis ball at one end of the range and a soft squishy toy on the other. The stitching looks like it will hold up well, and the cloth has a good feel. No funny smells, basically odorless which is a good thing.

Fits smaller hands stays cold
I tried a different brand of finger gel packs, but they were too large for my fingers and only stayed cold for a few minutes. I returned them and got these instead.The small one fits my fingers comfortably and they stay cold about 10 min. My hands are very small for an adult, about the size of about an 8-year-old child (based on comparing them to my piano students!), so I was very happy these fit.
