I put this together myself (I always call someone to help with this) and it was OK. The instructions are easy to follow, and I like the way the hinges work, so my grandson's toys are in the box with some blankets and there is plenty of room. The lid comes down slowly so won't slam on little fingers. The size is good too, and it looks nice in my front room. Very happy.

It was easy to assemble it took 25 minutes and I really like it, my 2 year old granddaughter uses it easily, it has hinges that allow it to close slowly and safely, it looks really nice and it's well worth the money, very well made and good value for money.

This is a reasonable value, well designed, box that would be great for a kid's room.If you follow the instructions carefully, it's easy to assemble.Unfortunately, we bought it for our hall to house the many shoes that otherwise always seem to litter the floor. It works well for accommodating the shoes but is in a very visible location leaving me with the ongoing wish that I'd paid a little more for a box having a thicker lid and sides, concealed screws and which looked more like a premium product.

Bought this a while ago but wanted to see how it held up before reviewing.This is an excellent toy box. 2 of us put it together in about 15mins. It’s a great size, I use it to store all of the bulky plastic toys. The lid doesn’t slam closed it stops wherever you leave it which was really important for us as we wanted him to be able to dip in and out of it without worrying about caught fingers.The box is very sturdy, my 2 year old stands on it to look out of the windows down both my husband and I sit on it with him to watch the birds in the garden.I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but decided to take a chance as the other toy boxes I likes were over £100 and I really didn’t want to spend that much. I’m so glad I bought this one, it’s got plenty of room, it looks great and it’s going to hold up well.

The main review criticism with this storage box was damage to the panels on arrival. With this in mind, I carefully examined everything before building it. While I didn't find anything remotely close to the horror stories posted in other reviews , there were some issues that just shouldn't be found on a brand new product.One of the end panel legs had some knocks, the holes for the bolts looked like the wood was cracked part way around the edges - it may just have been the paint finish. The lid had some dirty marks, which wiped off.Construction was easy and only took about 30 minutes. There now seems to be two "small" and two "large" hinges, instructions on how to mount these could have been clearer. The screws supplied seem to be on the small side.I'm concerned that the hinges may not be up to the job, but for now everything seems OK and there is a two year guarantee, hopefully with no "get-out" clauses.Overall, the unit looks nice and holds all our spare bedding. Quality does seem to be an issue that the manufacturer should look at.

Was smaller than I expected. I didn't measure so was my error.Other than that, does the job very spacious and the quality is really good.
