If it’s good enough for many barbershops then it’s good enough for me. This little bottle of magic right here is amazing additive to a shaving regimen. Makes sensitive skin feel coated before, dying, & after shaving. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something new. Though a bit pricy compared to other brands this right here is unprecedented and second to none. Perfect creaminess and smoothness. Makes shaving even 1/4 inch beard (5 o’clock shadow) a breeze. Buying this forever.

I was hesitant to try this at first since I have been using a different post shave balm for a couple years; but I figured it might be time for a change, and I couldn't be happier with this balm. The first time that I used it I knew that I had made a good choice. A little bit goes a long way, and I feel as though this container will last me for a very long time. There is no oily residue after applying it, and it has a nice cooling effect as it absorbs into my skin. I was surprised the first time that I used it, but now I look forward to it. It is slightly more than I would normally pay for a post shave balm, but you get a large amount for the price, and it is certainly worth it. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking to soothe, and rejuvenate their face.

Like many aftershave balms, this is a white lotion formulated to cool and soothe rather than burn and sting freshly-shaved areas. The first ingredient is water. It contains glycerin, aloe, and menthol, among twenty or so other ingredients (e.g., cyclopentasiloxane) that will give your chemical vocabulary a workout. While I'm not a particularly discerning judge of aromas, I'd describe the fragrance as "mildly pleasantly citrusy-soapy." It seems to dissipate to an "understated" level fairly quickly so that you won't give people the impression that you marinated yourself in cologne or strong aftershave. Its cost per fluid ounce is under $2, which compares favorably with that of competing products from Nivea and L'Oreal, which I would rate similarly as to quality. Since they're not terribly expensive, try several brands and give away any that you don't like. I'd expect Woody's to make your final cut.

This product is great. I have used many different products in my life and this is it, last for years of their product. It's all I need.

I used a Simpson brush to lather this on my face and it went quite well. After I lathered the cream on my face with the brush, I let it sit while I did other things , getting ready for work, (maybe 5 minutes). In the time it was on my face I could feel the cream becoming warm, it was strange but quite nice. When I started shaving the cream made my face very slippery for the razor and the shave was phenomenal! The scent is a clean, warm slightly spice. Smells incredible! Would I purchase again? Yes indeed!

One or two other reviewers seem to have moaned about this product's relative lack of lather.Well,I firmly believe that when it comes to a shaving lather,quality beats quantity every time!,this stuff produces a lovely,rich,creamy lather (reminds me of the stuff my old man used,when I was a kid,"Palmolive" I think! ,and re-lathers well with just a few drops of water so,you don't need to use that much of the product each time you shave.Having tried dozens of shave-prep products over the years,I think I've actually found one that I'll really stick with!,a nice bit of kit.Btw,I would also heavily recommend "Woody's" soothing post-shave balm.

Another fantastic product from Woody's, absolutely zero irritation and a really close shave, followed with Woody's shave relief balm for a perfect shave with no redness or burn, can't recommend it highly enough!

Very nice product,soothes my skin well,and drop for drop seems quite nicely priced.I would also recommend "Woody's" shave lather,another very nice bit of shaving kit!.

I had read all of the reviews before ordering this and even having said that was still surprised by the scent. Complex it is. Starts off with a grapefruit/lemon rind aroma, evolves into an almost old school barbershop scent and then finishes as a clean traditional soap smell. After about 2 hours the party is over and it’s a neutral smell. I love having different balms but there is something very unique about this one. I forget to mention the initial eucalyptus/mint tingle that lets you know you’re alive. Not harsh, not strong but something that you appreciate in the summer after a long warm day. Without doubt the most complex balm I’ve ever owned. One star off for 2 hour aroma limit, but that’s just me.
