Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist who has inspired so many, loved her parrots. Here is one of them, extracted from her self-portrait,"Me and My Parrots." To create the pin I adapted the image, printed it with archival inks, then bonded it to hardwood, and cut it out with my scrolling saw. The back and sides are finished with black enamel and a pin back.
